49% of that 50% is the middle-class and the reason why the working class and the poor got hit so hard was because, as I have explained so many times to you and which you have ignored, when the corporations move into the middle-class spaces and take them over, they offshore/outsource/insource those jobs which used to go to the middle-class/working-class/and poor so now you have high American unemployment and fewer taxpayers in those categories to foot the bill.

The rich get richer while everyone else gets poorer (and sicker)

IRS data shows that in 2004, the richest 50% of the taxpayers paid 96.7% of all income taxes. From 1986 to 2004, the share paid by the richest half increased from 93.5% to 96.7%, and the share paid by the richest 1% increased from 25.75% to 36.89%. At the same time, the amount paid by the poorer half decreased from 6.5% in 1986 to 3.3% in 2004. While the poor's contribution was cut in half, the richest Americans saw their contribution increase by nearly 50%. When you get past the propaganda, for the last two decades the rich have been paying more and more while the poor have been paying less and less.

TeaPorons demanded that the government be shut down and women's health destroyed as the TeaParasites hate the USA and want to see the economy destroyed and women enslaved.
The GOP could have stood firm for the TeaNazis but kicked them in the nads instead....political fear.
REPUBLICANS BLINKED --- that's what the whining, anti-American rightwing spin machine is saying today.

Nope, Commiecrats caved.

BTW, why does Harry Reid claim to love his wife and daughter, yet send to to Planned Parenthood for medical care? Stingy, rich bastard!
