It is such a great patriotic feeling to the African American President dedicating a monument to the great civil rights leader who sacrificed so much to move this nation towards equality…

The fact that our Osama-killing President is in the White House is a testament to MLK great achievement. I can’t wait to see the ceremony this Sunday.

It is not that I don't remember charges of adulterous behavior directed toward Dr. King. However, he was viewed as a severe threat to the status quo and political operatives have never been shy about proliferating ugly stories about harbingers of real change, such as he was. Whether true, partially true or completely false, no one can argue about the impact his movement had on the entire country.

Obama is a man in search of an identity. I see this as an attempt to define him in terms of Dr. King, who not only had a "dream," but devoted his life to forcing the the nation to recognnize its African- Americans as equal to other groups and to judge them on the content of their characters rather than the color of their skin.

Dr. King was indisputably charismatic and an outstanding extemporaneous speaker, probably ion part because of training as a clergyman. His head was not swivling from teleprompter to teleprompter to mouth the words that someone else had written. I am sure that some of his speeches were collaborative effort but he could not have been such an outstanding speaker unless he wrote the larger part of his speeches.

I was in high school during the Civil Rights demonstrations and found his speeches to be absolutely inspiring. He had the gift of connecting with everyone, even those who disagreed with his demands for equal rights for African-Americans, and by extension, other minority groups as well. He was looking forward to a time when race would not mattter, only qqualifications. We are not there yet, but his vision is not dead; it is, and has been, gradually becoming part of the public consciousness.

I wrote on this site some time ago that Obama'sspeeches are straight out of the English 101 textbook: make a statement, back it up with examples. He does this repeatedly which is why I can't stand listening to him. It is distracting to watch him switch from teleprompter to teleprompter andd he does not make the eye-contact that Dr. King did. Dr. King took an adversarial position against ingrained societal beliefs. He knew that there were many whohated him and also that there were threats against his life. Yet, he continued to press, dynamimcally and heroically, one of the most important issues of the 20th century. And he looked people right in the eye when he did it. Perhaps these are the reasons why he was so riveting: great eye contact, unparallelled gifts for writing and delivering speeches, and a message that was meaningful, coherent and essential to make the US a better place for everyone.

Obama may be trying to slip on Dr. King's matle, but the fact remains that he has neither Dr. King's "presence", oratorical skills or real knowledge of the African American experience, which as we all know, was often. tragic. Obama benefitted from Dr. King's persistence, having attended both Columbbia and Harvard law school. Twenty years earlier, his applications would nnot have even been considered, no matter how smart he was. Dr. King, he is not.

I wonder if Obama will tell his daughters the truth about how his great democrat party did everything it could to stop MLK and the Civil Rights Act? How for the last 40+ years he and his party have tried to keep the African American population enslaved under the boot of governmental entitlements. Somehow I doubt it.

President Barack Obama called House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) Thursday to congratulate him for passing three trade agreements — but ended up getting an earful on the jobs debate.

According to an unusually detailed account released by the speaker’s office, Boehner “respectfully challenged” the president for saying Thursday that he has not yet seen a jobs plan from Republicans.

“I want to make sure you have all the facts,” Boehner told Obama, the account of the 10-minute call said.It is the latest sign of continued frosty relations between the speaker and the president, who have struggled to form a working partnership, particularly after the collapse of negotiations in July for a “grand bargain” on deficit reduction. By providing a rare readout of the call, Boehner’s office is trying to highlight that Obama is ignoring attempts by House Republicans to address the jobs crisis.

Barrack Obama did not even really associat with blacks until he was 28 and looking to bundle black votes as an organizer; hense his 20 years in Wrights church to gain a political following. Anything Obama does is to ultimately reward Obama.

James William Fulbright, an avid racist and segregationist, who else was he?

A lifetime mentor from 1966 to the Clintons and a Democrat.

The Other Half of History Post
Race and Party Politics, Part II – Senator Fullbright and Justice Black

“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg? Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.” Abraham Lincoln

In describing the history of the Civil Rights Movement, left-leaning college professors tend to portray it as a battle between liberals and conservatives. The principle of equal justice for all is depicted as something that only liberals believed in. Anyone who supported segregation is described as “conservative.” Professors, in other words, give all the credit for ending institutionalized racism to people like themselves.

Facts that undermine this viewpoint, plentiful as they are, rarely show up in mainstream history books.

J. William Fulbright: Enemy of Joseph McCarthy and Equal Rights
Fulbright was certainly no “ally” of black Americans. Bitterly racist, he fought to protect the Jim Crow laws that denied black citizens their constitutional rights. In 1956 Fulbright was one of ninety-nine congressional Democrats to sign the Southern Manifesto, which declared that the Southern states had a right to keep their populations segregated by race.(It should be mentioned in passing that only two Republicans signed the document.)

In 1964 Fulbright was one of a group of tenacious Democrats who filibustered for fifty-seven days in an attempt to block the Civil Rights Act that outlawed segregation in public accommodations.

Contrary to the stereotypes that Dr. Foner and other liberals try so hard to promote, Fulbright was also a very liberal Democrat. He was a staunch supporter of labor unions. He always lobbied for appeasement of the Soviet Union; and opposed American aid to Israel, which was, at that time, the only Middle-Eastern nation aligned with the United States against the Soviet Union.

He also did all he could to impair America’s fight against Communism in Vietnam, writing two books on the subject, and using his position as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee to undermine the war effort.

Fulbright’s office provided assistance to young men who wanted to avoid the draft, including a young future President of the United States named Bill Clinton, whom Fulbright hired as a clerk just two years after filibustering to block the 1964 Civil Rights Act.5

Democrat Party, the party of mob rule , power grabbing, and corruption, to this day. Just because black americans migrated to the Democrat party due to LBJ's New Deal to rope in black votes (when citizenship was granted to freed slaves and lynching was terminated by GOP and no longer effective way to blackmail from blacks)-does not eliminate Democrats as the party of genocide and mob rule today. They are as racist as ever as demonstrated by Obama and his racist baiting goons.

Justice Hugo Black: KKK Member and New Deal Liberal

Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black is another left winger who doesn’t fit the stereotypes that liberal historians have so carefully constructed. In 1923, at the age of thirty-seven, he joined the Ku Klux Klan. Three years later he was elected to the US Senate.

In the Senate Black was a big supporter of organized labor and other left wing causes. In the 1930’s he won the favor of President Franklin Roosevelt by the stanch support he gave to Roosevelt’s big government “New Deal” policies. In 1937 Roosevelt appointed Black to the Supreme Court.

When news of his earlier membership in the Klan came out during the confirmation process, Black defended the Klan. According to the Encyclopedia of Alabama, Black justified his membership by stating “that he joined the Klan because he considered it an ‘anti-corporation’ force that helped to counter the political and social influence of industrialists and large corporations who had taken full control of the Alabama economy after the destruction of the state’s labor movement.”

The Klan, in other words, had an agenda that a New Deal Democrat could love.

Justice Black was always a man of the left, from his days as a senator through all his years on the Supreme Court. When Congress passed a law that forbade American labor union leaders to belong to the Soviet-Controlled Communist Party USA, and a Supreme Court majority upheld the law, Justice Black wrote a dissent in favor of the Communists.

11. What Party from 1870 to 1930 used fraud, whippings, lynching, murder, intimidation, and mutilation to get the black vote, and passed the Black Codes and Jim Crow laws which legalized racial discrimination and denied blacks their rights as citizens?

AP is reporting that O`buma has sent 100 Special Forces Troops into Africa Short version below.

O`buma send American Soldiers into Africa to go after Lords Resistance Insurgency. This is being reported by the AP.

WASHINGTON (AP)— President Barack Obama said Friday he's dispatching roughly 100 U.S. troops to central Africa to help battle the Lord's Resistance Army, which the administration accuses of a campaign of murder, rape and kidnapping children that spans two decades.

In a letter to Congress, Obama said the troops will act as advisers in efforts to hunt down rebel leader Joseph Kony but will not engage in combat except in self-defense.

Pentagon officials said the bulk of the U.S. contingent will be special operations troops, who will provide security and combat training to African units.

The White House said the first troops arrived in Uganda on Wednesday. Ultimately, they'll also deploy in South Sudan, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Long considered one of Africa's most brutal rebel groups, the Lord's Resistance Army began its attacks in Uganda more than 20 years ago but has been pushing westward.

This is how we got into Viet Nam..........

Democrat Bill Moyers spied on MLK for the Lyndon Johnson Administration.

Moyers also was tasked with finding and exposing GAYS in the opposition's team.

He believes he can hide behind progressives at PBS which only shows the hypocrisy of that wretched bowel movement.
