Eagle Mountain Landfill killed by 9th Circuit Court of Appeals
A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel today upheld a 2005 court decision that overturned a federal land exchange necessary for the development of the Eagle Mountain Landfill near Joshua Tree National Park.

Joshua Tree National monument boundaries were expanded when it became a National Park explicitly to put the brakes on the Eagle Mountain land fill project.
