Your article about Gettysburg was fantastic.
In your article you expressed this opinion as a fact:
"if it wasn't for the Civil War there would be no United States of America today and there would be nowhere for my parents to have escaped from the war in Bosnia. Where would we go, if there was no land of opportunity and hope?"
Have you considered: if there was no Civil War, why does this mean there would be no United States of America? What would have happened to the Northern States that wanted to stay in the union?
Would they have folded and disappeared?
Have you considered: if there was no war, then there would have been two countries, each pledged to an almost identical constitution, and each providing in time equivilent lands of hope and opportunity.
