Why Do So Many Believers Think Atheists Are Worse Than Rapists?

Mar 28, 2012 Full story: Reason Magazine 1,707

"We're here! We're godless! Get used to it!," chanted the crowd of 20,000 or so atheists at this past weekend's Rally for Reason in Washington, D.C. As the chant suggests, the protesters styled their event on the National Mall as a "coming out" party for atheists.

I agree with you there: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

I often find myself having to repress the urge to tell off people who desperately need it. Science hasn't proven 'the Big Bang Theory.' It is, and will remain, a theory. There are NO six-billion year old humans alive to tell humans EXACTLY how the universe was created, so, all human beings can do is :guess. With that in mind, you can believe in human beings, or a divine creator. You have chosen the former. For your sake, I hope you're right!
LOL. You do know that there are know 6 - 10,000 year old humans that were there to witness "creation" don't you?

The difference is, the evidence for the big bang is overwhelming. The evidence for your god is, zero.

I've fallen off the wagon a few times but He always leads me back. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for He is good, His love is everlasting unlike that of humans.
Remember how the Catholic Church argued against free thinkers and enlightened men who were proclaiming that all men were created equal.

In 1878 they strongly objected to the idea of equality for all men.

Of course, let's not lose forget how Pope Pius IX condemned any notion that the Pontiff ought to "come to terms with progress, liberalism and modern civilization".

The Catholic Church is a cancer eating away at the heart of the world.
