I am a resident from one the homes that got raided in East Palo Alto. Mr. Bob Cooke report is a full on exaggeration. I am apalled at his report. The children was not separated from their parents and they were fine. What does the way we live have to do with a drug bust? Why put down a family size and how we live? Because you are upset that you were hoping to find something big and found nothing that you want to go ahead and strip us from our privacy and our pride. How dare you? I am proud of where I come from and how I was brought up. Bob Cooke, put yourself in our shoes. All the drug busts you guys performed did not speak on the people that lived in the house-why? It is because you guys actually found what you guys were looking for. Nobody knows how it feels until it happens to them. Now I know how those people who homes were raided feels. Mr. Bob Cooke, tell your investigators to continue following me and my family members. Follow us to work, follow us to school, follow us to church, keep following us, you might as well come in the house for dinner. Did you guys ever think there were old and sick people in the house? How would you feel if a total stranger held a gun on your newly born baby, or your 11 year old nephew, or your infant, toddler, your parents, your grandparents or innocent civilian, or even a terminally illed person? I can't believe how you guys pull out a gun on a toddler who was crying for his daddy. How dare you guys? For the men who were raiding the house, I'm not mad at you guys. It was a court order and you guys were only doing your jobs. But, for Mr. Bob Cooke, get your story straight. You should be upset with your own damn self. For channel 2 news reporter, and all the media, you should be sued for showing under age kids on your broadcast without consent. Also, the anchor lady from channel 2, you feel bitter and you said what you said because you couldn't even get a comment. Remember anchor lady, there are two sides to the story. You only got one and that's all you're gonna get.

That family is in denial. They know who is dirty but they allow them to live and sell dope and carry guns around there home and kids. Whatever, just be honest and stop making excuses. Police will continue to raid your houses until someone puts there foot down and kick those little thugs out or put them in jail. Quit crying and live like a Christian like you people say you do!!!

You don't know anything. These are good people that got raided for nothing. There are no drug activity of any kind. Just the guy that smoke the crap, which the family is upset about. In case you didn't know the gun is register to the proper owner. Come on now, they live in east palo alto. The state is mad because they found petty things that a normal police officers should have found. They wanted to find kilos of drugs and basement full of weapons. What they found was a kilo of dirty diapers and no basement. Just hard working people just trying to survive the everyday thing cal life. As for Bob Cooke, I hope to fart on his mustache so he can smell. Ha ha, beans;its whats for lunch

Gun was voluntarily surrendered and is a legal registered firearm-media misrepresented what they "found"..Crack "found" was much less than what was reported as well, personal use amount. The point is the media and law enforcement portrayed this as a "gun and drug trafficking" raid based on investigation by State agents until they didn't find what they thought then it became a bogus child welfare issue cause it was more interesting than a botched raid.

I usually agree with ya Realist but this was a bunk raid that unnecessarily traumatized many people

Don't you understand. This is typical of the police, especially WHITE officers. Also, check the media. If the news isn't bad or shocking, it's not news. Get a clue people. This is the same bullshit minorities face every single day. Until you have walked in those shoes, shut your mouth. YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT OUR STRUGGLE.
