I ride BART regularly in a car by myself on a reverse commute in the morning, and urge the author of this story to rigorously investigate the numbers involved here. How many of the 10,000 are airport parkers (who, presumably, drive from throughout the region to park at Peninsula Stations) and where do they come from? How many Peninsula Employees are using the extension? How does current SFO traffic compare to the peak of the dot-com? What are the on/off stats for the rest of the stations?
