Deadly San Carlos PG&E Pipeline

The City of San Carlos is giving the Business area a free Facelift. This will provide the Businesses along Old County Road Free of charge All New Sidewalks, All New Asphalt Street surfaces, All new underground Electrical services while removing all the electrical poles in the Area except for the Residential district bounded by Holly, Industrial Rd, Terminal Way, and Old County Rd.
A large portion of these projects are going to be performed just a few feet above the same pipe that PG&E lied to us about a few weeks ago. Will the City of San Carlos Guarantee that the pipe will not be damaged during the destruction of the old roadway and sidewalks? It would seem prudent to shut these pipes down during the time the demolition and reconstruction is being done to minimize the effects of a rupture due to unforeseen conditions during demolition.
One only needs to look at the condition of Laurel Street & Industrial Way, and the Railroad Dike just a few years after the completion of their facelifts to see that the City of San Carlos is incapable of making sure the Community receives a quality built professionally engineered Product. The sidewalks along Laurel Street look like amateurs poured them. There have been numerous repairs along the median islands on Industrial due to the improper drainage from the landscaped areas. The North Bound Lanes of Industrial Road at Holly Street have had large grooves in the since the day they were poured. The railroad dike has hairline cracks throughout the supporting walls as well as chunks of concrete falling off the support members.
Another unproffessional performance by a Construction company is not what we need working above a potentially deadly pipeline two blocks from my house!!!
The City has proven incapable of monitoring construction within its City limits.
