The Lofton's Family will like for The Community Of East Palo Alto to read the letter below. The letter below describe how Officer Detective Edward J Soars of The East Palo Alto Police Department. Soares went to Maguire Facility Redwood City California at 10:00 pm. Kenneth Lofton was removed from his cell from the request from SOARES and taking to booking. Soars had other Correctional Officers to lewd Kenneth Lofton to Soares. Soares then took DNA from Kenneth Lofton unwilling.. His exact words when he enter the Booking Room "What You Think This About I Got Your ASS Now You Don't Now Who You Messing With"...... Do the People of America find this a little disturbing...

Good Day,
On July 10, 2008 Thursday between 10:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Kenneth Wayne Lofton was awaken by a Officer Unknown Name. Then he was taking by another Unknown Name Officer to the booking area. Kenneth thought someone had passed away in his immediate Family because he was removed from his cell and got him so late at night. Kenneth Lofton can recall 2 of The Officers on duty that night as Officer Timmons and Unknown if spelling is correct is Officer Atticka Or Officer Otticka at The Maguire Correctional Facility 300 Bradford Street Redwood City, California 94063
Kenneth Lofton sat down in the chair the door proceeded to open it was Officer Detective Edwards Soares. Kenneth said "What the hell you want we aint got nothing to talk about". Soares said "You know what this about I got your ass now you don't know who you messing with". Then Kenneth said "You aren't suppose to be talking to me without my Lawyer John Burris and John Burris was not notified and or ok you to collect DNA and to take any statements from me. Kenneth then said "We told Todd Simonson your Investigator for my case that if he or you need to talk to me or collect any DNA contact John Buriss and Todd said "I wouldn't never talk to John Buriss Clients with out him being present then Todd said "I know John Burris do he know who I am". We said "Yes he is familar with your name". Then we ended the call with Todd Simonson. We are sure that Todd Simonson told Officer Dectective Edward John Soares that Kenneth Lofton wasn't going to make any statements without a lawyer present. Soares then went on to say to Kenneth Lofton. "You can do it my way or do it your way". Kenneth said what's your way I need a sample of your DNA. Kenneth Lofton said "No you may not what you need my DNA for the court collected my DNA. Kenneth Lofton said "Do you have a court order to take my DNA". Then walk in 3 Officers with Latex gloves on. They stood up next to me like some train Soldiers. Soares took a sample of Kenneth Wayne Lofton DNA from his mouth with a swab. This will be the 2 DNA that was collected one by court order and one by Officer Dectective Soares. Kenneth believe that Officer Detective Soares is capable of using tainted DNA against Kenneth Lofton in his Trail and trying to set him up with DNA he collected. Kenneth Lofton DNA was tested previously and came back inconclusive not a match to Kenneth Lofton.

Why Officer Detective Edward Soares is taking his own DNA for evidence? We believe that our Family isn't the only Family that has experience this kind of Police Misconduct with Officer Detective Edward Soares. Officer Dectective Edward John Soares is testifying against Kenneth Lofton Trail in July 2008. We believe Kenneth Lofton don't stand a chance for a fair Trail.
We as a Family believe that Kenneth Wayne Lofton is in great danger. Kenneth has file a complaint with The East Palo Alto Police Department. Against Officer Detective Soares and Officer Ramzi Carter. Officer Carter is no longer active with East Palo Alto Police Department. Kenneth also filed a complaint with San Mateo County, The Department Of Justice and The California District Attorney's Office. We as a Family believe if Soares have authority and authorization to enter a Correctional Facility at 10:30 pm at night to grant access to get DNA from a inmate who Soares arrested is not acceptable by any means. As a arresting officer why is Soares the one collecting evidence in Kenneth Lofton Trail? Kenneth Lofton Trail starts in 3 weeks all evidence should have had already been collected in Kenneth Lofton case. August 2007 was the time when Kenneth Lofton was arrested by Officer Ramzi Carter Officer Edward Soares. Kenneth Lofton been in incarcerated since 2007. When Officer Carter and Officer Soares wrote up The Police Report Soares stated he SAW Kenneth Lofton throw the Control Substance and Paraphernalia. DNA should be on the evidence that was tested by court order on something when the evidence was collected. The DNA was tested and returned with NO match to Kenneth Lofton DNA. It was then July 10, 2008 at or around 10:30 -11:00 pm. Kenneth Lofton was taken out of his cell and was taken to the Booking Department for DNA Testing again for the 2nd time. We as a Family believe Soares is not here to protect and serve the community of East Palo Alto California. We believe he is trying to frame Kenneth Lofton. He has showed The Lofton Family he will do anything necessary to send Kenneth Lofton to prison. Even if he have to have order other Officers to get any inmate at any giving time out there cell to get DNA. We believe Officer Dectective Soares is capable in causing bodily harm to Kenneth Wayne Lofton. We as a Family would like action to be taking against Officer Dectective Edwards Soares. He shouldn't have had NO contact with Kenneth Lofton. We believe Soares is upset because he can't charge and taint evidence on Kenneth Lofton. Officer Soares was upset at Kenneth Lofton because Officer Ramzi Carter and Officer Dectective Edward Soares was chasing some young kids and Kenneth Lofton witness the chase. Kenneth Lofton started laughing and shaking his head because they came down the street at a high rate of speed down Westminster in East Palo Alto California. Then Officer Edward Soares and Ramzi Carter came back down the street and jump out of there car and started asking Kenneth Lofton was he on Parole or Probation Kenneth Lofton stated no. They ask what was he doing over here is said "He was doing some side work. They started searching and looking around the yard and street. Officer Soares said "Is this your" Kenneth Lofton said "NO". He pick up something and said "Kenneth Lofton this is yours". In the court records Soares stated when he was asked what was Kenneth Lofton reaction when he was accuse of having a Control Substance and Paraphernalia.

Soares stated Kenneth Lofton started getting really upset that Officer Detective Soares and Officer Ramzi said "It is yours". Again we as a Family believe if Kenneth Lofton said "No it's not mine". A DNA Test was taking and came back not his. Kenneth Lofton went to Court and the D A offered a deal. When they had knew the results of Kenneth Lofton DNA. Kenneth Lofton ask for a Trail. WHY??????? Is Kenneth Lofton in Jail! Officer Soares had stop Kenneth Lofton before he arrested Kenneth Lofton. In Soares Court Records Soares said Kenneth Lofton showed Officer Soares his Parole Release Card. Officer Soares had already ranned Kenneth Lofton arresting history and his Parole and Probation status previously. Officer Ramzi Carter and Officer Edward Soares charge Kenneth Lofton with Possession Of A Control Substance and Paraphernalia charges that day. We also believe that Soares is using The County of San Mateo Correctional Officers and Officers of East Palo Alto Police Department to Violated Kenneth Lofton Civil Rights. Kenneth Lofton and his Family fear for his life and safety.

I hear Soares asked to be the investigator on this case. How do a officer that observed a suspect throwing 2 object? Become the investigator. I think he knew he had to cover up his mistake. I can't believe they granted that. WOW!!!! The Justice system got ball players all over... I guess Soares must be a baseball player too. Soares Bonds....
