San Mateo police are investigating an armed robbery that led to one suspect being gunned down and an innocent bystander being hospitalized with a gunshot wound to his torso.

Even if he was shot in the butt, it is possible for someone to start to turn around just as an officer shoots. Being shot in the back does not mean that the person was not an immanent danger to the officers or the public.

I know this. He robbed a store, led police on a chase, shot a bystander. turned and fired at police. A man is known by his actions. He brought it on himself.

Outstanding. Doofis, I could not agree more. These blogs are full of family members of robbers, killers, etc, saying don't judge, don't talk about them, we don't know, etc. often with threats and foul language. What we do know, is what they did. Doofis is a genuis..."a man is known by his actions. He brought it on himself says it all. It is not a police conspiracy when there are victims, witnesses, etc. Sometimes the police have to act with deadly force, which is why they probably carry guns in the first place, and they did so appropriately in this case. I feel for the guy's family, but lets not get ahead of ourselves telling people not to judge.
