School district faces painful cuts

I find it disgusting to hear we are "again" cutting education. Our children are our future - we should be protecting them and assuring they have the very best rather than cut budgets that directly affect them.
Lottery came in with the grand notion that it would contribute to the education of our children. Since that time I have seen lots of building for the district and some of the schools. Our children could easily stay in an older building and maintain those programs so vital to their educational development. Shame on the governor for putting our kids last in his budget cuts. Why not cut some of the fat in government spending - official salaries and perks - anywhere but our children. |
