GOV. Janet Brewer Follows Through on Threat to Veto Bills Until She Gets Her Way.

Arizona governor says she won't sign any bills until legislature passes budget with Medicaid expansion.

She is standing with Obama Care, I stand corrected she must have some smarts after all.

So what are they going to do now? Start charging for bags? I buy lots of food. I don't have time to be lugging bags around with me or remembering to bring bags with me every time I go somewhere. Furthermore, why would I want to pay extra for bags at the supermarket or anywhere? Its a business expense for the business that they can write off. On top of that, whoever produces those bags, are now out of a business and job for their employees.

Just my 2cents. Hope I don't need to use the 2 cents on the bags.

Walt Whitman was historically a flat out racist.

He has called African Americans 'baboons' and was for oppressing voting rights for them and women.

This type of attitude is evident in many certain city council members of Glendora and West Covina, California.

Actually, no. In order for Government controlled paper bag manufacturers to produce a paper bag, a tree must be cut down. According to the latest Government "junk science" findings, every tree cut down results in a lessened ability of the earth to remove carbon from the atmosphere.

Easily degradable plastic grocery bag technology has been known for decades in more technology advanced nations. There are thousands of source producers of components needed to manufacture such bags.

The same trendy radical element who now advocate placing Lowenthal grocery and goods bag harassment taxes on harassed food eaters in Long Beach and other radical controlled cities previously said one should ask check out grocery clerks to provide him with convenient plastic grocery bags when the clerk gave them the choice between paper and plastic. The reason, they said, was because the use of plastic bags would save our friends, the trees.

Since the radical revolutionary element took control of Government and expensive taxpayer funded academia, they have worked to "dumb-down" expensive Government schools to the lowest common denominator.*(so to speak)* The result is that post-revolution America no longer has the intellectual capacity that is necessary to produce "fish saving" easily degradable grocery bags.

There are thousands of manufacturers of components needed to produce easily degradable grocery bags in more technologically advanced nations. Here is a link to only one that is located in China. Besides saving our friends, the trees, our friends, the fish, love eating these corn based "Lowenthal harassment tax-free" grocery bags.

CCBC inc.

Yes. I agree. No better example could possibly be found that more better illustrates the folly of "dumbing down" our expensive taxpayer funded dysfunctional Government schools. Have you ever considered signing up for a Government course in beginning English composition at your local Government school for adults when you are sober?

The children often come to me - tears streaming down their rosy colored little cheeks - complaining that revolutionary Council would not permit Walmart to build a super store in the city that would have allowed Walmart to sell healthy fruits and vegetables to their hard working parents at prices they could afford.

I always pat the little fellows lightly on the head, while at the same time reminding them that revolutionary Council also forces hard working parents to stand the cost of providing their own grocery bags - an action that increases "the bottom line" of their high priced "Council protected" unionized Big Food pals.

I always tell the kiddies to cheer up. Both Amazon and Walmart plan home delivery of competitively priced groceries. This will not only obviate the need to provide trendy heavily taxed reusable grocery bags, but it will be an end-run around revolutionary Council protectionism for the benefit of their greedy high priced unionized Big Food campaign donor pals as well.

Another Hollywood "Liberal" = Bette Midler - has reportedly come out in support of the Lowenthal grocery and goods bag harassment tax. According to reliable reports published by the foreign press, Midler hysterically ranted:

"Plastic bags are a scourge to the planet and everything that tries to live on it." ..."the liberal activist actress and singer reportedly told the "Liberal" Los Angeles Times after a state Senate vote came up three votes short."

Midler, who, according to The Huffington Post, was caught "Illegally Cutting Down Hundreds Of *(planet saving)* Trees On Her Hawaiian Property"

The limousine "Liberals" often support the placing of heavy burdens on the backs to ordinary worker *("middle")* class Americans, but they suppose the oppressive rules they advocate should not apply to themselves. This has not changed one bit since Biblical times. According to the historical record:

"Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also." (Luke 11:45)

" And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers." (Luke 11:46)
