I will miss the Los Gatos News. I loved the "summary" reports of the news around the world and still the local news as well. I felt connected to the community by this daily newspaper and am certainly missing it.

The weekender just isn't the same thing. Oh well, back to the Mercury...

I was just going to ask if you knew where I could get some Los Gatos Christmas Cards with a picture like the one on the cover of the Los Gatos News that was a cartoon of a cat newspaper boy (I think). It's been a long time ago. But I would love to send something that really has the local flavor this Christmas Season. Then I read your note and I have to say I'm very saddened by the loss of this paper. I love it.

There's news to report in the Los Gatos region, and I hope the Merc and the Los Gatos community paper dig it up. Lest we forget, the old Los Gatos Daily News got some pretty good news from the Judge Danser story. ...
