To consider students choosing a two-year college as a problem speaks volume of the leadership: The goal of a public school system should be dedicated to life-long learning. A 4-year degree is certainly a worthy goal, but it is not necessary for everyone. Community & technical colleges play an extremely important role in the world of education, and to suggest they are a problem is an outrage.

The October 30 edition of Engineering News Record discusses education and the relationship to the construction and engineering fields. The move to grant college degrees to Journeymen was one close to my heart.
