The project broke ground in May 2013 and has been pushed back to the end of August 2014.
Why is it taking so long - even before the push back to August?

while i like the look of the new street, its not like the old one was so bad. It's seems like a lot of work that will result is less parking and not much more utility. sure the sidewalks were a little narrow, but the new width isn't really enabling anything new. I wonder what the business owners think of the end result and if its helping or hurting their sales.
As to why its taking so long - i have no idea. seems like they're doing a lot of infrastructure work in addition to redoing the sidewalks etc. But still, I agree, it seems to be taking forever.
