Michael Jarve says, "Tell me where Senator Obama says 'I want stricter controls on who can hunt and when' or 'I want to ban shotguns and rifles,'"...well here you go:
- Obama has supported banning hundreds of rifles and shotguns commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. Illinois Senate Debate #3: Barak Obama vs. Alan Keyes 10/21/04
- Obama voted to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting. S.397, vote 217, 7/29/05
- Obama supported increasing taxes on firearms and ammunition by 500%. Chicago Defender, 12/13/99
The list of Obama's anti-gun votes throughout his career is too long to print here.
Can someone please tell me how this man can honestly say he's a friend of the 2nd Amendment, Sportsmen, and Gun Owners?

People who hunt and own guns should really be paying attention to this year's election. Obama is anti gun, McCain is not. If your guns and second amendment rights are important to you, you better be voting McCain / Palen

McCain has been a major disappointment to me. I used to have the highest respect for him. I liked his integrity-- or what appeared to be integrity. Now I don't know. He just seems to come across as bitter, negative, and lacking integrity or any original ideas. If a pollster were to ask me, I'd say I had more respect for him before the convention than after. Now I'm just sick to heart listening to him.

If you want more proof of Obama being anti-Second Amendment, one only need to look at comments he made before, during and after the Heller decision.

And his defense that he's not an anti-gun guy, basically that no he wouldn't try to ban guns because he doesn't have the votes in Congress to do it.

Well that makes me feel better.

Barack Obama has voted to uphold local gun bans and the criminal prosecution of people who use firearms in self-defense.
[ Illinois Senate, March 25, 2004 SB 2165, vote 20]

Barack Obama has voted to ban almost all rifle ammunition commonly used for hunting and sport shooting.[ United States Senate, S. 397, vote number 217, Kennedy amendment July 2, 2005 ]

Barack Obama voted for an Illinois State Senate bill to ban and confiscate “assault weapons,” but the bill was so poorly crafted, it would have also banned most semi-auto and single and double barrel shotguns commonly used by sportsmen.[ Illinois Senate Judiciary Committee, March 13, 2003 ]

Courting the blaze orange crowd? Obama would like to see them wearing orange jumpsuits.

Is Obama on drugs? What would make ANYONE think that he would have a chance with the hunting/fishing groups? If Obama is Pro Gun, then I'm Bill Gates.

Some people will believe this because they want to believe anything NObama says. I'm guessing these are the same people that can't figure out why they are constantly having things in their lives fail to work as intended - NAIVE.

Yeah, NObama is pro second amendment. Feel free to vote for him on Nov 5th, then.

Most of us the wear Blaze Orange for 2 weeks per year, always knew we are the "targets" of the Democrat Party.
Telling us that Mr Obama has targeted us is like telling us that the 2nd ammendment is all about Militia's....

Hunters, think "Limousine Liberal" ...John Kerry, Algore, Dukakis, Mondale,......remember how all these Emasculated Metro-Sexual and Feminist Males put on a "Costume", talked the talk for a day or two, then took a Mud bath in their "Gucci" Bathing Suits to remove the stench of us harvestors and owners.....

And the latest incarnation of the Phony....Mr Obama, is gonna attempt to hide his beliefs by pandering too.
If you value your 2nd Ammendment rights, have the Honor to never vote for one of these Judas'

Obama has bigger priorities to worry about than the "God, Guns, and Gays" wedge issues. Your guns (assuming that you're not sporting an M-60 or an AK-47) should be okay.

The dishonesty is appalling!!

......"One wildcard in Minnesota is a constitutional amendment that should draw more outdoors-minded voters to the polls. It would establish a huge pot of money dedicated for habitat restoration, water cleanup and heritage programs. It has a catch that's causing discomfort among top Republicans — the money would be generated by increasing the state sales tax.".......

......"It has a catch that's causing discomfort among top Republicans — the money would be generated by increasing the state sales tax"......

The "catch is that the Brie Cheese eating, Wine Consuming Liberals that dominate the Legislature, have "DEMANDED" funding for their "Arts" from the same tax increase, or they would not allow the bill to get a vote.

You need some shame STPP!!!...Your constituents..... Ignorant Democrats..... do not need to be "Dumb’ed down" further, by your lies by omission.

As a owner of quite a few guns and also a carry permit person. I would never vote for Obama and let any others know who want their permit to carry to do so fast, just in case NObama wins in Nov.

Tell me where Senator Obama says "I want stricter controls on who can hunt and when' or 'I want to ban shotguns and rifles,"' said Jarve, a member of Obama's Minnesota sportsmen chapter. "Where has he said that? He hasn't."

What plant does this guy live on?? I bet he never has held a gun in his hand… He is just another NO-Obama support who has no clue what this guy really stands for, nor cares to know. Mr. Jarve is just another useful-dupe for the Socialist!! Mr. Jarve go back to what ever state you came from….

You people who believe that Obama supports your legal gun use are so naive. Wake up. The only people that will have guns if Obama is elected will be criminals. Obama is one scary dude who has powers to get people to believe anything and everything he says.

I hope that was sarcasm I detected, Obama has no chance at the sportsman vote. He is one of the most anti-gun senators in DC.

You people who think that hunting is going to be outlawed by anyone elected as president need to wake. Hunting is as likely to go away as abortions. Hunting is a neccesary part of our society and wilderness just like abortion is neccessary for rape, incest, and critically ill women. Don't be such a fool as to become a one issue voter. If you like McCain for other policies also that's great just don't sucked into this other crap.

Delusional - I'm sure Obama won't try to outlaw hunting, he just wants to outlaw guns. As far as hunting being necessary to our society - that's just common sense. When was the last time ANY politician made a decision based on common sense?
