As an avid snowmobiler in the state of NH it saddens me to read about these tragic deaths. What bothers me the most is that these deaths and accidents are preventable. The 60 year old man was operating at a pretty good spped on a plowed road. Not sure if he was new to the sport but you should not be riding on a plowed road. The 21 year old gentleman may or may not have been riding on a designated trail, to me it sounds as if he was not familiar with the area and going too fast. I see people all the time who have no respect for the machine they are riding. I see people FLYING out of control and I see people using the wrong side of the trail. I try to avoid Pittsburg at all costs. Too many weekend warriors and those new to the sport go there. When conditions are right I try to go to other less crowded trail systems. Use your head people and we can all enjoy ourselves and stay alive.
