Herger is against violence? Since when? He voted for Dumya's wars. The Republic Party favors violence as a solution to real or imagined problems. It's not. Peace is.

Wait, is this our Wally Herger? Since when does he meet publicly with his constituents? He refused to debate opponents during the primaries and during the election, he refuses to hold town halls publicly instead of over the phone, and he is the person famous for saying "God bless you sir" to a man who declared he was a "proud right-wing terrorist."

Why does the newspaper print this nonsense?

“Hello friend!”

I have said this before, but during Herger's last phone town hall, it seemed some of the folks were making veiled threats of violence. I never heard the congressman take anybody to school on it.

Just about every caller seemed a little unhinged and very angry.

I'm not sure why this kind of violence surprises anyone in America.
After all, it seems that we as a nation use violence to obtain our ends.
In fact, over 100,000 innocent civilians from Afghanistan and Iraq have been killed in our retaliation for the actions of 19 extremist hijackers from Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, the UAE and Egypt. None of the hijackers were actually from Afghanistan or Iraq... or were even sane for that matter.... but that doesn't matter to America... We'll kill them all dead, even if they're not involved.

It appears to me that America MUST be filled with people like Jared Loughner - that use violence to obtain their ends, no matter what the cost or how many innocent people are killed in their wake. I'm thinking of of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green who was killed in AZ along with 5 others. Imagine the sadness that her family is feeling right now. Now, multiply that by 100,000 and consider for a moment that the people of Iraq and Afghanistan are human just like you, I and Christina's family....

What if 19 crazy Mexicans hijacked some Canadian airliners and crashed them into Canadian skyscrapers. Would you be alright with Canada killing 100,000 Americans in their search for vengeance? Or do you subscribe to the notion that the people of these countries are less worthy of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness than you and I?

God Bless America, because it's gonna need it.

Ah, yes ... Mr. Stead "misspoke" and was "misunderstood" and everything about that sad evening was "taken out of context" and "blown out of proportion."

And, "of course we conservatives never actually TOLD people to go out and threaten (or actually shoot) members of Congress whose ideas differ from ours." Nope ... instead we just sit idly by as wackos like Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin use crosshairs to show "targeted" districts in a particular election.

No way do we actually encourage violence. We conservatives just don't say anything when Ms. Giffords' opponent encourages people to show up at her gatherings while carrying guns. Even the opponent himself had a poster made, showing him holding automatic rifles.

But we never actually TOLD anyone to start shooting! No, sir!

Republicans believe in individual freedoms, as long as it's the kind of freedom they want you to have. Good examples include the freedom to use put substances into your body (regardless of their legality) and the freedom to terminate a pregnancy.

When others legalize activities which conservatives dislike, those conservatives accuse people of "shoving it down our throats" and use other incendiary ways to describe it.

Their grasp is weakening, and as people begin to move away from Republican "values," conservatives are resorting to intimidation to get their way. It's the only card they have remaining!

This is the ultimate liberal campaign. Wally speaks out against hate and violence and we attack him for it! Wondertul tactic! We will smear him so bad that even his own mother will vote for Roberts Braden or any other dimwit we can come up with.

We have two years!
