I recently purchased a Ruger M77 MkII in 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser. Right off the shelf w/a Redfield Revolution 3x9 scope it shoots 1/2" - 3/4" 3 shot groups, off the bench, at 100yards. And that is using 150 grain Remington Core-Lokts or Wichester Power Points, no factory premium or handloaded rounds. The "Swede" is a highly accurate round, very easy on the shoulder, & puts the meat on the ground. The Scandinavians (Swedes, Finns, & Norwegians) use it for game up to & including moose, and is their most popular sporting cartridege. Also I have never found anything to complain about with any Ruger firearm. They are an American made fine quality product.

I just bought a 750 Remington in .243. Am excited to see what it will do. I have always used a 7mm Remington Magnum in a Browning A-Bolt. I love the A-Bolt and am a firm believer in the 7mm. Flat shooting and very accurate. Can shoot less than a 1 inch group at 100 yds. I bought 7mm originally for the ability to hunt everything with it. Now, I wanted an auto loader for quick follow ups on coyotes, but wanted a a caliber that I could still legally deer hunt with. Hence a .243. I am looking forward to shooting the .243 Remington 750, but would highly recommend the 7mm Remington Magnum for anyone who doesn't mind the recoil.

Also, I have to say that I load my own 7mm mag. I load 150 gr. Nozler ballistic tip boat tails with IMR 4350 powder. Nice load. I have also loaded 175 gr. partitians for Elk, but not as accurate as the 150 grain BT BT. I have never shot factory loads through my Browning A-Bolt.

I have a 750...270 cal. Problem is getting the clip into th gun. Remington claims the problem is the clip. So I wasted more money on another clip and still have the same problem. Took the gun to a gunsmith and have the same results after paying more money. Gave the gun away, scope and all.
