Maybe in DC, they will now start thinning the herd. At least it is a step in the right direction. Call it an even playing field, at least the criminals now won't know who has a gun and who doesn't. Should help control this free for all that has been going on up there.

Hopefully instead of the repeat offenders, they will now have dead offenders. We can only hope.

Of course this all could change if the racist Atheist/Muslim gets in office.

The one we have now has done just that. He has written his own constitution and should Obama be elected we will likely no longer have a constitution to change.

Did you read the entire paper before posting? The accidental shooting of a 15-month-old, is that your idea of "thining the herd"? Unbelievable!

The distressing part is that our right to bear arms was only held up by ONE vote, so you can SEE how CRITICAL Supreme Justice picks are for a President.

I find it frightening that the liberals on the Supreme Court
came within one vote of eliminating one of our ten Bill of Rights
Thank the Conservatives for preserving our Constitution.

" , the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed "

.

Why do liberals have a hard time understanding this.
A no-brainer for the rest of us.

Looks like the courts will actually have to start enforcing laws to get criminals off the streets and keeping them in jail. Instead of outlawing guns, they can start outlawing the criminals who use them. At least they did not throw the sheep to the wolves thanks to that one vote.

Do you think it was a legal gun owner who shot that child?

Heard on the news that it was someone else gun and the guy was working on it. Idiot probably didn't check to see if it was loaded or not.

I wonder whether the attitude would be the same if the poor little girl was killed in a car accident.

Would CPS be taking swipes at legal car owners?

"Other laws keep felons from buying guns and provide for an instant background check."

This is the kind of statement that shows how easily some people are misled. Laws do not keep people from doing anything. Laws prohibit and that's a big difference. Some people choose not to follow the law as in the case of a woman who was shot and killed by her childrens father at the YMCA in NJ. She had a restraining order. A piece of paper will not protect you. I'll bet they have a big no guns sign on the door.
Owning and carrying a firearm is a huge resposibility and a right. Use with caution.

Headline:.. "High Court upholds right to bear arms"

Well. Duhhhhh !!

It's called the second amendment
"the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"

The Supreme Court is supposed to uphold the Constitution, NOT overturn it by decree.

I can't believe that there are 4 justices stupid enough not to know their duty as justices
