There is only way to stop the violence.

END THE DRUG WAR,, we lost it a long time ago.

If you think the drug war is working, then why are we still fighting drug dealers after forty years.?

Why are drug dealers even richer and more powerful today than before the drug war. Drug dealers make 40 billion a dollars because of the black market premium created by drug prohibition.

Why does the United States have 8 times more drug overdose deaths than before the drug war started?

Why do kids have an easier time getting illegal drugs than it is to get alcohol? Drug dealers dont ask for identification.

Why is corruption in both countries higher than it has ever been in history?

Why are street gangs in the United States more violent and more armed than ever.

The Drug War is to blame for all these harms to society. Drug Use hasn't caused these problems, drug selling is the culprit.

End The Drug War...

2 kinds of Prohibition here,Drug Prohibition in both countries, Gun Prohibition in only Mexico, This won't work. Most basic of all human rights--The right to self defence,(2nd Amendment)without it no other right can be guaranteed. One country, disarmed, pitiful, helpless to defend itself. The other country strong self reliant, successful, free. It sure is encouraging to see people fight back.

As more and more MEXICAN and US CITIZENS vow to protect themselves, and have the means, the drug thugs will be driven from exicstence.

We stand together in this fight, we BOTH have governments that fail to fulfill their limited role- secure our borders.

a person must provide the military with a dozen documents to show a source of legitimate income and a genuine reason for wanting to have a weapon.

What kind of BS is this. So if your not working at the time, you can't defend yourself?

People paying $10,000 to corrupt officials to obtain permits, more BS.

A genuine reason: Mexico is involved in a bloody narco war that is fueled by American dollars from recreational pot users.

Mexico let the honest person defend themselves.

That one dude defended and killed 3 attackers with a .380? He must have been a hell of a shot! Just like the saying goes, bullet placement is key. I am glad that I live in this great state that allows us to buy almost any type of weapon. The next time folks ask why do you need an AK-47, all i have to do is tell them look whats happening in Mexico.

The US Gov't needs to round up a few million of the armed drug thugs that infest our citiies and prisons since they've invaded our country from Mexico and Central and South America. Give them all guns and ship them back across the border so they can take their country back from the weasel murderers that are in control of Mexico. The ones that illegally invade our country are nothing more than cowards that don't have the courage to clean up their own country. I salute the brave men and women of Mexico who have decided their country is worth fighting for. I'm sure there are thousands of good Americans that would volunteer to go down there and help these good people defend their lives and property. As for you jackwagons that blame Mexico's problems on potheads and drug addicts here in the US and spew about the "drug war" being the cause of Mexicos situation...well I can't say what I think about people like you.

thats what ive been trying to suggest on my comments for the last 2 yrs, that the citizens need to arm them selves with weapons,as of right now the only ones that have weapons is law enforcement, the military and the drug cartels, and the average law abiding citizen aint got shitttt, they need to change there amendment laws, as to have the right to own and posses firearms, and if there goverment dont want to , well overthrow that also, thats what happened in the 1910 revolution, people got tired of dictatorship of porfirio dias, the poor were getting poorer and the rich richer, here we have a case that the citizens are getting killed, and the goverment cant do shittt to stop it, so arm your selves and fight this drug cartels, since the goverment cant do shitttt.

Everyone Who ownes a gun ot plans to own a gun or wants to own a gun should read this article. Our current government would love to have it in the USA just like Mexico. Oboma. Hillery, Eric Holder, Bloomberg(Not US but state gov.) and many other Liberals would love to ban all gun sales and ownership in America. Hillery has even resorted to trying an international small arms treaty with NATO. If that happens will the guys in blue helments come to your home to gather your guns?

i bet pancho villa and emiliano zapata, are spinning in there coffins this very minute,it would be nice if them 2 could come back alive to mexico, but as it sounds they were probably the last one,s with enough huevos[ balls] to stand up to the so called mexican corrupted goverment, when they over threw that fat bastard porfirio dias, hopefully all the people will stand up and arm them selves with firearms to defend them selves, we only live once and have one life to live, the hell with the mexican laws and protect your selves and your family, and when you kill a cartel , take the gun away and give it to your next of kin or your neighbor.

I look at the picture of the fellow standing there with his bolt action .22 caliber rifle and wonder how well that will work out against multiple assailants with M-16's and AK 47's. Maybe he should have went with a bow and arrow or rocks, the results will be about the same.

People overdoes are cause because they got hook on drugs, so be it. If anybody doesn't get it that drugs are bad for you, your just a dimwit.

Kids still find a way to get alcohol. If you think a ID is going to control drugs too, your as stupid as they comes. The only ones that want drugs to be legal are users. You sound like one.

If Mexico is to progress out of its Third World status, it must grant its citizens the right to acquire, possess, and use any type of firearm in self defense.

Not only are firearms necessary for self protection from organized crime elements, but they will protect citizens from abuse by the corrupt government, military, and law enforcement entities.
