I am just a mother & a house wife, but I am very worried about all of our right to keep & bear arms & defend ourselves. I can not imagine living in a world where I did not have the right or the means to defend my children. I have started a petition on the White House's site calling for the dismissal of Feinstein's proposal 3 days ago. I have peddled & pushed it through social media & email & am proud to announce that it has gotten over 6100 signatures in less than 72 hours. Law abiding gun owners are NOT the minority as some of the talking heads on tv would have you believe. I am asking that you please take a look at the petition & sign it id you agree & pass it along to all your friends & family as well. I kept it short & simple, straight to the point. I am also asking that you all start bombarding your elected reps with phone calls & emails, demanding that they vote NO on any issue that infringes on any of our rights!!! Thank you so much for all of your help!! https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/dis...

Gun control has been/is one of the main tenants of a pretencious left wing liberal socialist democrat agenda. Should be no surprises here.
It does take citizens to stand up to this agenda anyway they can with their vote, buying power and feedback. Unfortunetly this latest gun grab is time sensative. The anti gun crowd is desperately trying to exploit reactionary response of the Sandy Hook murders. Sometimes these issues settle down. Time will tell how this turns out. |

Onething on petitions. Right to free speech is crucial BUT you are letting the very people that want to take your right to bear arms away know exactly where you stand as a private citizen.
This could be a good thing. A massive show of support for progun might make the professional politician think and/or change their mind. But a signed petition gives the zealots in government information on you and about you ie anything from IRS trouble to being first on the raid list if confiscation ever comes about. Free speech is important and should be exercised. But chose your free speech battles very carefully. |

Yes, but if you look on this forum I am very vocal about my opinion. You have to chose the causes you are willing to martyr your self for. I don't consider most gun control advocates evil or closet rogue predators. Just misguided. That said there probably are some both in and out of government. If I' m willing to exchange pistol fire with a long-arm active shooter. Then the idea of being cut down both figuratively or literally for a cause that will save lives that unrestrained "gun control" is killing.

Huh? No guns...knives? you mean there are other ways for criminals to harm victims. Hey OBamma, how about a registration of knives, then clubs. Mr. President you want your sheep to think you're on their side and how smart you are....What's your plan going to do but track everyone who has a gun, oh except the criminals who get them illegally. Then again we can wait on the police force to save us, how'd that work out for the raped victim and everyone else?
