Jamestown Foundation in Georgia as well as the ACPC are very powerful players.

Misha Misha come out wherever you are!

When names such as Soros and Brezinsky roll off the shelf you can rest assured no one behind this who is the real Misha will be found. Rather the internet'their means to self radicalize' will be hugely targeted going forwars as 'internet security' in the Senate this week as CISPA.

CISPA is to the Internet what the Patriot act is to all of us

The Washington neocons' commitment to the war on terror evaporates in Chechnya, whose cause they have made their own

An enormous head of steam has built up behind the view that President Putin is somehow the main culprit in the grisly events in North Ossetia. Soundbites and headlines such as "Grief turns to anger", "Harsh words for government", and "Criticism mounting against Putin" have abounded, while TV and radio correspondents in Beslan have been pressed on air to say that the people there blame Moscow as much as the terrorists. There have been numerous editorials encouraging us to understand - to quote the Sunday Times - the "underlying causes" of Chechen terrorism (usually Russian authoritarianism), while the widespread use of the word "rebels" to describe people who shoot children shows a surprising indulgence in the face of extreme brutality. On closer inspection, it turns out that this so-called "mounting criticism" is in fact being driven by a specific group in the Russian political spectrum - and by its American supporters. The leading Russian critics of Putin's handling of the Beslan crisis are the pro-US politicians Boris Nemtsov and Vladimir Ryzhkov - men associated with the extreme neoliberal market reforms which so devastated the Russian economy under the west's beloved Boris Yeltsin - and the Carnegie Endowment's Moscow Centre. Funded by its New York head office, this influential thinktank - which operates in tandem with the military-political Rand Corporation, for instance in producing policy papers on Russia's role in helping the US restructure the "Greater Middle East" - has been quoted repeatedly in recent days blaming Putin for the Chechen atrocities. The centre has also been assiduous over recent months in arguing against Moscow's claims that there is a link between the Chechens and al-Qaida.

Certainly gives you confidence in the system when this administration can't catch the terrorists even when we know their name and current address.

Making up stuff again. The FBI, not "the administration," fell down on the job here and all they were told was that this guy was a possible extremist - not "a terrorist."

But anything to try to keep excusing Bush for punting on 9/11, I guess...

Interesting, and here I thought Obama hand-picked the people who run the FBI and Homeland Security etc. And, what do you know, he really was a terrorist. Opps.

Has anyone seen a report that states what the FBI found out about Tsarnaev during that previous investigation?
If he wasn't doing anything illegal at the time, what should they have done? This is still America, you can't arrest someone on "suspicion".

Which means he gets all the data on terrorism on his desk and makes every decision, right Rusty boy? Just like he sat and watched while the Ambassador begged for mercy in Benghazi, right boy? Right??

GOOD boy, here's your treat!

Indeed, the information didn't come to Obama and there were only suspicions of Tsarnaev's "extremism," and yet some would have us believe he and his brother should've just been "stopped" somehow the moment we were told.

I DO think we might have done more to watch the elder brother, check his movements, see if he was buying guns/explosives. The FBI may well have fallen down on the job. But it IS more complicated than critics of the administration would have us believe.

Well, surprise, surprise. It has now become quite clear that the two brothers who committed the terrorist attack in Boston this past week were not merely radical Muslims, but Mahdists as well. This is to say that at least part of their worldview was formed by Islamic eschatological expectation concerning the Mahdi. In a video posted on the now deceased Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s YouTube account, we are taught about “The promised emergence of the black flags from the promised land of Khorasan”. The black flags, as I discuss in my book, Islamic Antichrist, are a reference to Muslim armies that are prophesied to come from the region of North-east Iran / Afghanistan / Pakistan under the leadership of the Mahdi. According to the video, these armies are now forming and will soon march to Jerusalem to establish the seat of global Islamic leadership from the Temple Mount. Despite the desperate efforts of the mainstream / left-wing media to downplay the foundational nature of Islam in the Tsarnaez brother’s worldview and murderous acts, what has happened once again on American soil is clear. The Islamists have hit us again. Meanwhile, large portions of the Church are all too determined to believe in conspiratorial syncretistic / improvisational apocalyptic theories, yet the reality of what is coming is right in front of us. Turn on the TV. Radical Islam is not going away. Denying reality or hiding our heads in the sand will not delay the inevitable.
