He never should have gotten in that boat after the suspect came out of it. He tainted the chain of evidence. It now leaves room to challenge the origin of the alleged confession note allegedly written by the suspect. Defense attorneys love this. Also, recent pictures show the suspect complying with the police and lifting up his own shirt revealing no IEDS. No need for this guy to "rip the shirt off the suspect". I question this guys "heroics".
