I feel sorry for the family, but if he was stupid enough to go out without a PFD, he got what he had coming. The ice just went out up there and I'm sure he suffered from hypothermia quickly.

You are a dork! Who deserves something like that? I was with him in the canoe. The professional search and rescue diver and employee of the Forest Service told me to my face that a PFD would not have saved him. The under current was too strong.
