Wekiva springs state park is an absolutely beautiful place to spend a day. The spring pool is clear and fresh, the canoe trip is fun, it is inexpensive ($5 per car). The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. I feel I must warn people about a spring just up the road with a similar name. The WEKIVA FALLS RESORT is not the same place and should be avoided, unless you want to swim in a slimy mudpit surrounded by junky mobile homes and piles of trash and debris. The staff does not apologize for the conditions and the $9 per PERSON cost is ridiculous. Please visit our beautiful Wekiva Springs state park soon, but avoid the one with the slick ad campaign and similar name.
