Its people like bird brain, yellow bird, whatever that continue to fuel nonsense. The next thing we will hear is that Bismarck "snuck thru a loophole" in the law. Something called a judicial process with an added plus called the jury. I guess they are all didfunctional lesser human beings too.

What is it with these fanatics. Any time alcohol is mentioned, they come out of the woodwork and preach the ways of the world and in this case, would state that if it wasn't present, then this wouldn't of happened. Well, what a slippery slope they play in. Testimony is full of reasonable doubt. Perdock says no alcohol. Then a beer. Then witnesses saying he was drinking at establishments he claims he did not visit.. A DA thats so set in his ways that the only statement that ever came out of his mouth regardless of evidence to the contrary was "there were no lights". Anyone that even indicated that was stunned like the plague. Well, BS. I ALMOST RAN OVER A SAILBOAT BACK IN THE EARLY 80'S..

Guess what! Their lights were on. And the circumstances were similar. And like Perdock, I had driven god knows how many times at night with no problem and even operated as he stated by aligning with shore lights to have a beam of reflected light to see wake disturbances or signs of other vessels on the water. Sailboats are different though. Hardly a wake. I was approaching from the rear on a dark night. Even being experienced in maritime operation(15 years for me at the time) does not mean it cannot happen. A stern light is hard to see lacking the ability to see the forward port and starboard lights as was the case here. If one is not thinking about the possiblity, has tears streaming out of their eyes due to wind speed, they are not going to be able to distiguish lights on the water. Especially at 50 plus on a dark night.

This whole case comes back to one thing. Make a scapegoat out of Bismarck Dinius, therefore, the party line of "he's a drunk, and he didn't have the lights on".Then delay the trial until statutes of limitations run out. That was real convenient, now wasn't it.

The jury spoke. Accept it. They got it right.

Roschelle & Bismarck
We are thrilled you can now get on with your lives.
Our work is far from done here. Mitchell is making a LameAsszzz Attempt to regain the publics trust by releasing all the Documents from this 3 year Night Mare... but here is what Im writing to Mitchell....

HEY ROD! ANSWER THIS!

Are you going to publish information about the interviews you buried --- Jeannie Strak & Doug Jones ?

Are you going to publish information about Perdock's access to the police records?

Are you going to publish information about the order to remove references to your presence at Bayshore right after the accident?

Are you going to publish information about the exculpatory information that exists, but that the LCSO has kept from Victor Haltom, according to LCSO deputies?

Are you going to publish information about the still not-released 911 and dispatch calls, e.g., Hans Peter Elmer's calls?

Are you going to publish information about your relationship with Hopkins and the involvement he had in the unjust decision to prosecute Bismarck rather than Perdock?

Why don't you just come clean, rather than engaging in transparent, dishonest politics?

Do you really think the Public is going to "buy" your lame attempt at damage control? Sorry Darling, Its too late. And I was just curious.. Do you guys buy "White Out" by the 55 Gallon barrel size? Order Hard Drives by the case to attempt to cover your Internet tracks? You must think that the Public is as Dumb as Rocks... Both you and Hopkins lack salesmanship skills. No One is Buying what you are trying to sell. Maybe you should start selling Kirby Vacuum's... going door to door.. Or Amway? Or try Mary Kay?... You guys might Win a Pink 1976 Ford Pinto.

Even Dinius knows that suing does nothing but hurt the tax paying people of Lake County. He does not have a beef with them as he said. He will end up on his feet, and I would bet my retirement that you don't ever hear him in trouble with the law again.
Even the civil suits didn't hurt anyone but the rest of us. Who paid those? The insurance companies. That trickles to the rest of us in our premiums.
The reality is the legal system punishes people for doing wrong and we hope rehabilitates them from doing it again.
Can't you say that EVERYONE has been punished in a case that resulted in accidental death? Dinius and Perdock "in the case" and Webber with the loss of the love of his life. Hopkins is the only doubt, but him and Mitchell will face that with the voters and what they do between now and then. Out of the two, Mitchell is at least trying to do the right thing post mortem.
Maybe this little committee Mitchel is forming can be a permanent fixture in transparency with a citizens oversight committee to LCSO. But once finished, it will be time to put the past behind, and fight in the present and for the future. At election time, you can then think of everything that has happened in that term and go from there when you are pulling the handle for your candidate.
The sinking of Bismarck
EVERYONE HAS BEEN PUNISHED? please.
Did cornholeo or Wow hijack your screen name?
Tell us how much your insurance premium increased. I think it's a small price to pay for truth and justice. Make the movie sue the liars. most of us want, no need an honest law enforcement agency. This isn't the first travesty and it won't be the last if we just sit and wait for an election.
Strike while the iron is hot Bismarck as you can see LCLE is still trying to pin the death of Lynn on anyone but Perdock.

Hey Hank,

Since when did things change to the point that if someone says they "think" you did something, that being someone accused you, that makes it fact. Grow up my friend. The jury ruled and found otherwise. Its one thing to speculate before a trial. Its totally different when, regardless of trial" people like you continue to state he was still guilty. True colors have revealed themselves. Statements like that are in total conflict of what this country is all about. Something many of you out there want to change apparently...

Bismarck & family:

I introduced myself on the day that I had jury duty. I'm so relieved for you and your family. Your life has been returned to you. Please accept my apologies for everything you had to do through, loosing your job, defending bogus charges, spending your 401K, listening to Mr. Hopkins in court, and most importantly loosing lovely Lynn Thorton as your friend.

I'm being totally truthful right now and I should also say that although I've never consumed alcohol when boating, I have driven a car more than once under the influence. Not anymore!! EVER.

I've learned from your experience. No more taking chances for me. EVER!

Hope a job comes your way soon. If a movie is made about this fiasco, please insist that you play yourself and hold out for the big bucks!!

This is what I love about America. Everyone under the First Amendment is entitled to their opinion. Honestly, I am glad people have voiced their opinion, both for and against me. That is your right. Nonetheless, there are things you will never be able to take away from me. I was maliciously charged by the Lake County DA's office, I faced those charges with earnest and dignity. I did everything the courts asked of me and more. I believe in our legal system and it did not fail me. I was acquitted by a jury of my peers, Citizens of Lake County. They looked at the facts of the case and made the right choice. I truly am grateful to the people of Lake County for their warmth, compassion and support. People opened up their homes to me so I would have a place to stay, wrote me letters and donated to my defense. As the article stated, there was not a place that I could go where someone would not come up to me and wish me well. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all that support. Now for those of you who would consider me a "drunken sailor" That is your opinion, you are entitled, so be it. The truth of the matter is, it couldn't be farther from the truth and you don't know me to be able to say such comments. I have never denied drinking that fateful night, but there was no causal nexus between that fact and the cause of Lynnís death. As the facts of the case showed, and everyone already knew, the speed at which Perdock was traveling is the sole cause of Lynnís death. I am just glad to close this chapter in my life and move forward. I have a new chance at life, Lynn never got that choice. So I will do what I can to help that family deal with their loss and am grateful for their support through this travesty that Lake County Officials have made of her Death. I will also move on with my own life being the best husband, father, friend and citizen I can be. Thank you once again for all the support, it has been overwhelming. I am forever grateful.

Please agree to do a book deal.(A movie will naturally come next). The world needs to hear this story. It may just remind people in power that you can be help responsible for your actions. Every day the news is filled with stories of coverups and elitist favoritism.
Don't feel guilty for profiting from this tragedy. Make your self whole financially, and if you like start a fund for Lynn's son or a foundation in her memory.
Look at what is happening in the wake of your aquittal. Hopkins and Mitchell are still trying to stay in their positions!! They don't get it. They need to be punished. If Public shame will work, I'm all for it.
