I cannot believe Perdock was not charged in this case and Mr Dinius was. When a boat operator is traveling at a high speed and slams into another craft it is THEIR FAULT. If anyone owes the people of this county where I live it is him. Mr Perdock should be held accountable for his actions..PERIOD.

Perdock and Hopkins and Mitchell have reduced the LCSO to the position of Lowlife Corrupt Scum Officials... and Perdock SHOULD be held accountable. The People vs Dinius case is just one example of how out of control the county is and the People need to pressure for Perdock to be prosecuted. The people need to be protected fromt this common gang of thugs who feed off of the taxpayers and terrorize anyone they want. Tourism is what our county WAS about, but now it is the play ground of thugs.

As only one of the smattering Good luck Mr.Dinius. Your misfortune and the death of you friend has done more for the exposure of the dishonest bureaucrats in Lake county. Cut them no slack they showed you none. Sue and recover part of your life back, money will not compensate for their wrong but know you aided us that have lived under the corrupt bureaucrats. Thank you.

Don't be flying around me anytime soon, you just may loose your wings! You must have been the lil birdie sittin on Hopkins shoulders during the trial. The birdie told me so! Fly away and somewhere far, you don't belong here!

Wrongly Accused? Yes. Wrongly Accused.

See the jury's verdict. Some people are just too dense to see when they're completely wrong about something.

Defendant Dinus is like most decent folk in Lake. Only few in Lake could afford the 300k for the attorney.

Do not let them off the hook Dinus.

This is done in Lake with impunity and arrogance. The Lake stinks now a Karmic connection to the stench of this case.

And as folks are staying away from the Lake because of the smell, the publicity of your case has also given an airing to the foreboding and thunderous justem system in Lake.

Check out the Sacto Bee, 7.5% of Lake residents are in prison as opposed to less than 5% in Sonoma. Lake has less crime in all categories than Sonoma and to beet all has a 60k population with 50% over 50. Sonoma is pushing 500k. It all has to do with the farm DA system in Lake, all want to cut their teeth with high stats and trials to get their numbers up so they can get out to a better paying job like Sonoma that pays 50% more.

Pathetic for our local 18-25 population of males who get hosed worst than most anywhere else in the State. I am no liberal but the whole thing is a mess as you have observed Dinus, and good luck with your life.

I think that acquittal is the word you were looking for. That is what happens when bad evidence is brought into the courtroom and the jury figures it out in spite of all the posturing by the prosecution.

Even Dinius knows that suing does nothing but hurt the tax paying people of Lake County. He does not have a beef with them as he said. He will end up on his feet, and I would bet my retirement that you don't ever hear him in trouble with the law again.

Even the civil suits didn't hurt anyone but the rest of us. Who paid those? The insurance companies. That trickles to the rest of us in our premiums.

The reality is the legal system punishes people for doing wrong and we hope rehabilitates them from doing it again.

Can't you say that EVERYONE has been punished in a case that resulted in accidental death? Dinius and Perdock "in the case" and Webber with the loss of the love of his life. Hopkins is the only doubt, but him and Mitchell will face that with the voters and what they do between now and then. Out of the two, Mitchell is at least trying to do the right thing post mortem.

Maybe this little committee Mitchel is forming can be a permanent fixture in transparency with a citizens oversight committee to LCSO. But once finished, it will be time to put the past behind, and fight in the present and for the future. At election time, you can then think of everything that has happened in that term and go from there when you are pulling the handle for your candidate.

during the trial bird brain and others talked about the facts would come out and Dinius would have to face the consequences for his actions when it was proven the lights were off.
It has been proven the lights were on and the true cause for the loss of life and injuries was the reckless driving of a power boat by Perdock. Yet bird brain and others ignore the facts and hide their heads in sand.

Great result and now .... may Slopkins, Quitchell and Perdick live in interesting times.

It looks like this case was one too many in their blocked toilet and the stink is out nationwide, in fact internationally (for whatever that's worth.)

Wiki-justice Rules. Good luck to them finding any other place that they can practice their dishonorable activity.

Perdock is the drunk. He is the one who lied. The defense showed he was at Konocti, even though he falsely testified he wasn't. Why do you think Perdock lied about being at Konocti? You get one guess.

Give me a drunk at the tiller of a sailboat anyday rather than a half-drunk power-hungry cop at the wheel of a speeding powerboat.

Prosecute Perdock.
