So a towel blew overboard, no-one could throw him a floatation device, nor could anyone restart the pontoon. I have a feeling he wasn't their favorite friend.

The 28 year old should kick the snot out of his pontoon buddies. Maybe the kid on the jet ski will do it for him if he can't get the job done.

I think if my family were in that situation (towel fell overboard) my dad would just swing the pontoon around to grab it out of the water. Last time I checked, they don't sink just hover on or near the surface.
Awesome job on the kids part though!!!

You haven't developed adult-level problem solving skills yet, have you?

Obviously his pontoon buddies have problem solving skill issues as well.

This teen is a hero indeed, he should be very proud of what he did and the gentleman he saved should be very grateful! Thank you for sharing some good news, this is the first thing I read today!

OK kid, you did what few would do. but look, that jerk was probably drunk with no mention of his life jacket....hmm now I wonder why they call them floating things that ? Let me think, life + jacket = avoid drowning, jumping in rough water no life jacket if you live should = straight jacket.
Now another question, how come this guy did not have medical attention ? Might be a few warrants out for him ?
So kid if ever a next time then ask your self a few questions about whom you are about to save..
1. Any chance of being a Muslim ? if any , let em drown.
2. Why no life jacket ? If so stupid let em drown.
3. Is drunk a factor for the dunk ? if so let em drown.
4. Reason they are in the water ? If stupid then let em drown.
See kid we got to start weediing out who we want in this country, just ask Palin, T-Party and the state of Arizona.

Is this your attempt at humor? Or are you really that uneducated?

Awesome story! I don't get why his buddies didn't throw him a life jacket or rope, hell even a cooler would do the trick

What an idiot, he jumped in for a towel??? A guy jumped in after a baseball cap on Lake Okaboji this year and couldn't swim, they recovered his body later. God, people are dumb!!!
