I was on the lake two weeks ago. Sounds like a bunch of crap to me. Yes, it is low, but being careful has always been the plan while boating. Hasn't this pipeline been under repair for several years now? Good think our oklahoman's are not working on the Alaskan Pipe Line.

I have seen people swimming in this lake several times. on the sw corner...i too thought there was no swimming but i guess its ok..sometimes. Lake Murray near Ardmore is the best, but dont go there, cause that leaves more room for the rest of us..

NO MENTION IF CANOES AND OTHER SMALL NON-MOTORIZED CRAFT WILL BE ALLOWED?

There's absolutely no reason to ban ALL boating!

That's just absurd!

I completely agree clt123. I understand them giving a caution, but an all out ban is absurd. I called the okcpd Santa Fe division and left a message asking for clarification yesterday but have received no return call.

That's because Negroes like water activities.

Ooops, of course I meant they don't like water activities. Sorry, I was answering a Mexican's question while I was typing the previous post. He's tiling my roof and asked if he could have some agua. I told him No.

I just don't understand their logic. I could and do fish other lakes but I live in north Moore and my friend with the boat lives in Midwest city. You just can't beat the convenience of fishing so close to home especially when it's just for the after work time. We fish in a 14 footer with a 30hp outboard. I just think it is dumb that they can tell me what I can and can't do when it's a lake made by and, maintained by us, the tax paying citizen.
Do you go to Draper often? Last year the South Dock ran off into the mud, people had to go to the North dock to launch. The water is down even more than that now. The problem is that the lake isn't deep enough for outboard motors, which is why I was wondering if we could still jetski.

People swim all over the lake, mostly kids and they just overlook it to be nice to them. There is really no reason we shouldn't be able to swim there.

It's a great lake. I will be sad to not have our normal Sunday Fundays with the regulars that go out there. I guess we'll just have to make due and find a new place until everything is back in working order!

I went there a week and a half ago. There are parts that are low, but there are ALWAYS going to be shallow parts in a lake like the shore... the policy should be don't be stupid and go 60mph not no boats.

And also jetskier, the water IS deep enough for an outboard motor. Again, it all depends on where you go. Just look at it like a smaller lake. It is beyond me why that is so difficult to see. There are parts of the lake that are STILL 60 feet deep or more.

Sad that this has happened to a very large recreation area. Though I live in kansas now its a shock to hear. I recommend hillsdale lake in paola ks if you want to take a mini road trip.
