Does anyone know how they are going to enforce this or what the punishment will be if we do go boating? I have been out a couple times this year on a small boat, and have had no problems. There is still lots of water left, bigger than any ponds I have fished, and I have gotten my boat in some of those as well.

I grew up in Atoka and always was told that they were pumping Atoka Lake water to Oklahoma City, I always thought it was going into a holding tower of some sort, never knew it was actually feeding Stanley Draper

It would be a great time for the city to permanently fix fish structure and habitat improvement structures to the lake bed a castable distance from shore.

JCH I don't know what the fine would be. I know those Rangers can get a little crazy though! You should come down to Arbuckle Lake. It's a small lake but the fishing is great and a lot of coves. Hopefully we will get some rain to fill the lake back up.

be a good time go in there a dig out the shore line so it will hold more water when they do fill it back up or spring rains come along while the water level is really down how about that johnny

When they say boats do they mean all watercraft? How about Personal Watercraft? They don't have outboard motors.

I am assuming they are shutting down all docks and that OKC Police will give you a ticket. I wonder about personal watercraft, since they don't have outboard motors.

Well, in my opinion Draper was never really much fun since you can't swim in that lake. We have our boat docked at Texoma and it is great there!

I just don't understand their logic. I could and do fish other lakes but I live in north Moore and my friend with the boat lives in Midwest city. You just can't beat the convenience of fishing so close to home especially when it's just for the after work time. We fish in a 14 footer with a 30hp outboard. I just think it is dumb that they can tell me what I can and can't do when it's a lake made by and, maintained by us, the tax paying citizen.

BTW-if you saw someone who's obviously drunk, loading his children in a boat, and he was the only driver, why didn't you call 911? That IS against the law, you know. Didn't want to be bothered? Didn't care? Drunk yourself? Don't complain about it if you're unwilling to participate in the solution.
