What was the reason(s) the state expected the Corps of Engineers to disapprove of the project?

Emanent Domain at its best, sorry bout spelling

If the land is not used for the dam, It should be sold back to the remaining family members, at the price they were paid , if the remaining familys are still around, And they are, ask russ unger who grew up out there!

Any deviation from the original proposal, is in fact THEFT,
Take land for project, sit on land for 1/4 century,
dont do project, sell land for increased profit, screw the families who should of had a beauitful life living on THEIR own property, in the most historic place with the LOCKS of the UNION CANAL to play in and grow up around.
SHAME ON LEBANON COUNTY, apparently someone knows this plan, they knew what the army would say!

The village of Suedberg in which I grew up was decimated by the state's 1970s acquisition for the dam. Hearts were broken. Then, more than 20 years later, that plan was scrapped. However inviting and lovely the planned park amenities will be, they will never replace the memories of the natives who were displaced.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Pisces

There's a clash today between the past and the present. Someone wants to dwell nostalgically on the good old days but someone else is determined to forget all that and only concentrate on the here and now. The trouble is that neither side will want to concede to the other person's point of view, leading to bad feelings and upsets. If you are one of these people, try not to be too entrenched in your own opinions.
