I honestly don't understand how someone could not see another boat that was stopped ahead of them in a lake. I'm now wondering if alcohol had anything to do with this accident? If so, This is just another reason that I and others wish that Alcohol would NOT be allowed on any of our lakes. NO EXCEPTIONS. Come On Oklahoma, Let's do something about this problem!

I agree with the previous post about not allowing alcohol on our lakes. They are on goverment property and I would get arrested if I was drinking at any other government facility. Greg was a beautiful person and his friends will miss him.

I for one am very tired of these irresponsible people terrorizing the lakes on the holidays. We need a network of private citizens to help the lake patrol put a stop to this. Drinking is part of the problem but immature boating atittudes and lack of knowledge of the safe boating rules is much more widespread. Add alcohol and you have a hit and run.

This person should be thrown in jail, along with the other person in the boat and never see the light of day again. Seriously, go and put the boat in a slip? How drunk were you? Are you that cold-hearted to just leave the scene of the accident that you caused another person to get killed? How dare you! That's just another reason we don't go to Eufala.

You will NEVER be able to kick Alcohol off Oklahoma Lakes. Our Officials like to party to much and will not do any thing to stop them from having their fun. Even if others get killed.

Ok, So they found the boat and they know two was involved. Now I (we) want to know if booze or drugs was involved... Wish the news would tell us more.....
(LAKE EUFALA, Okla.(AP)— The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a boat involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Lake Eufaula has been found.
Troopers said Monday that the boat was located in a slip at the Cook Creek marina.
On Saturday, the Oklahoma Lake Patrol said 38-year-old Greg Scherff of Oklahoma City was killed and six others were injured when one boat struck another that was stopped in the water.
The OHP said that, after locating the boat that had hit the other, a search warrant was obtained and the boat was seized.
Troopers said the boat apparently had two occupants when it struck the idle craft, and neither was injured. The OHP said its report will be turned over to the McIntosh County DA's office on Tuesday.)

Two of my brothers were with Greg that weekend celebrating Labor Day, this past Saturday they were carrying his casket. Labor Day will never be the same for my bros. Randy & Tracy. WE WILL PRAY FOR THE FAMILY. To the person whom made the BLACK comment before: YOU MUST BE STUPID!
THIS WAS A PRIME EXAMPLE OF A FREAK ACCIDENT.
