You my friend lack something most people have called compassion. Even though the adults on board made a extremely stupid mistake my heart still goes out to ALL of them. Do you think you are perfect? Do you have all of the facts? How do you know how much the driver had to drink? Only stupid people make statements such as yours without a complete picture. Would you make the same statement if you found out the driver only had 1 beer 4 hours before the accident? Matt - you are a world class idiot.

Obviously I do not condone drinking and driving of any kind. I think one of the bigger issues is the fact that at night you cannot see the bouy at all. I boat in this area and I was there this weekend. At night you cannot see anything. Doesn't it make sense to put some type of light on large bouys such as this one?

Hey Mark: Dont know what river you were in but that Bouy had a light on it. Read Below

Bull described the crash “as one of the worst boating accidents in the history of VMRC. No one I’ve talked with remembers one any worse.”

A Coast Guard official said the light on the No. 10 channel buoy flashed every 4 seconds to warn oncoming boaters.

Yes the light was on and the boat was big. Abby?Ellen is a schizo and is on meds since her divorce from an abusive HCFD guy with a pick up and a big antennae. He would actually use that antennae on her-so sad.

Please do not drink and drive and harass fellow drivers on the road. This includes you HC employees/

Tin Knocker.... before you go and try to quote only one of the 20 stories on the internet maybe you should find the article that says that the light may NOT have been working!!! You may think you have the FACTS but let me assure you Mr. Tin Knocker you don't!!

We all need to have some compassion for the family and friends of Amanda. This was a horrible event and my heart goes out to all involved. However, the driver, a HCFF should be prosecuted fully.
Weekend boaters...it's a wonder there isn't an accident every weekend.

HCFF needs to follow their own safety rules!! I wonder if the rest of the HCFF saints will stick it to him and his family!!
