In none of these articles on the fishing tournaments have I ever seen the amount of the entry fees. There was one article that said the fees are forfeited if the boats don't get stickers. It would be helpful to know what the entry fees are for these fishing tournaments and who receives those fees. Does it help the city or county, or only a private organization? This article did show the lake level on the rumsey scale, which is also an important item to print when writing about the lake or drought conditions.

well said Alice, these fisherman should not be allowed in the Lake without the sticker inspection, they dont care about our Lake, when they launch their boat ,they should do it at 1 or 2 locations, with Inspectors checking for stickers,no sticker no fishing, end of story.Ohh sorry we cannot upset these Bass fishermen, they bring sooo much money to the County.LOL

Need to increase the size of the fine for violations ane the size of the signs state such on every road leading into Lake County. The size of the fine should be one that grabs the attention of all boaters, both amount and size wise.

What we should have is stations at the county line on all roads in and out of the county that stop all boats and inspect them as they come in. If someone comes into the county doesn't get a sticker or is told "You have to drain this livewell" that water and mussels are now in the county and can make their way to the lake through runoff. Nature finds a way. Stopem' at the county line.
You have to think of it as mother natures VD.

Agree. Also, increase fines.

I said it before, require ALL boats in the lake to have a RFID unit like 'fasttrack' then you do not need any manned stations just a few 'readers' at all of the few entry points into the county. Cost would be perhaps $200K for six reader stations, the cost of rfid on the boat owner, no rfid, no boating, makes it easy for the SO boat patrol to ID the boats and see if they have passed inspection. Fine the heck out of anyone that violates that rule.

Or we can just wait for the quagga to come and then loose it all.

No laws on the lake, you can drink, then get your jollies of in your powerboat and haul azzz. If you injure or KILL someone,(LYNN THORTON) the only way you can walk away, scott free is if you are 2nd in command. No worries...they'll just charge an innocent man (BISMARCK DINIUS) OH, and then they will even PAY your way with administrative/medical leave. What a RACKET!

I have the utmost respect for the good men and women in LE. Those that believe in the oath, and truly want to protect and serve, it is those that we should honor. Shame on those that make a mockery of justice.
