It should be emphasized that the exemption of smaller craft and toys does not exempt the need to make sure these should still be treated as possible avenues of infestation. It might be convenient to say "it's only a little water" in your tube or kayak, but the long term damage and expense these critters will cause is very serious. Those that wanted something done about algae will be disappointed to find the Quagga don't eat the stuff AND money that might have gone to water quality could be diverted instead to keeping the little critters from getting into the Delta.

If a screener is auditing this Forum, I have some questions.
While not boating outside Clear Lake, I do know that it's quite hard to areas of my dry-stored boat dry. Even on a steep hill and plug(s) out, the bilge has small pools of water. Is it appropriate to have a non-toxic spray (bleach? Lysol?) to sterilize areas that won't drain easily.
Also, Wakeboard boats are similar to fishing boats with live wells. There are pumps, hoses and storage areas that are ALWAYS wet. Suggestions?
