A man heard yelling and called Mr. Scott, not the 911 emergency line? odd....glad she found safe, glad Mr. Scott was able to help. Next time a call to the rescue crew would have been better.

What's "better" than the girl being rescued and alive? Seems like the right thing happened...

Scott was right there with a boat in the water, immediately able to help...he made the right call.

I think his point was that instead of calling emergency crews, he called a guy who was either at home or at his place of business. I don't think John was on the water until he received the phone call from the guy that heard something. To which John then searched the area.

Was it the right thing to do (John coming to her aid) yes, it was.

Scott always has a boat on the water..his business is on the water, with a small marina, his boat is always parked there...he can be running up or down the river in seconds.

this woman was out on the water not knowing how to swim, with out a life preserver, with her family. those are the facts first reported by the chico er.
Yes, Scott was the right person to call, yes he is a fantastic hero.

The family must be eating stuff with lead and no nutritional value to have been so ....let's see, there is a much better word that stupid....odd. That's it, odd.

This should turn out to be a very expensive family outing for these people...hint hint!

Clarification for old timer: Bill them for their stupidity and make them pay
