The Sheriff's Office had four major blows this year, not just one:

1. The nationally publicized racial remarks against the sheriff's Office.

2. The Sheriff's Office video against former deputy Lande where Detective Andrews threw Sgt. Chawaski under the bus twice.

3. Bismark Dinius case.

4. The helicopter crash involving Lt. Garzoli.

Lakeman - shhhh. We're supposed to forget about those things - election next year and all that ;)

This 'article' read more like a grocery list than anything resembling journalism.

Capt. Russell Perdock of the Lake County Sheriff's Office collided with the vessel with his speedboat. Sailboat passenger Thornton died as a result of the crash.

Chronic drunks Dinius and Weber share responsibility in the death of Lynn Thornton in their role of BUI.
Bismarck Dinius went to trial for charges of drunken boating in late July and was found not guilty Aug. 20. The jury
simply confirmed the primary contributor to the accident and subsequent
death was NOT Mr. Dinius the marine industry experts, who deal with such
tragedies all the time, have made it clear that they believe Russell
Perdock was primarily responsible for the accident and death of
Thornton.

Weber and Dinius still have to live with the fact that they contributed to the death of Lynn Thornton with their impairments at the time. Keep working on that GED, son.

um, no, the decision was made by a jury of twelve people who the DA thought were objective. You stand in a VERY small group, filled with the foolish and guilty.

Round 2. Civil Rights violation lawsuit will be filed on Mitchell, Hopkins and a few more. Now that's good news.

True Repeat 2x, but I ain't looking forward to paying for their defense. Wonder if we can get our tax dollars back if they're found to be in violation? Or do they just get to take there retirement PERS and crawl into a hole? grrrrr

The County of Lake will be digging deeply into there reserves to fend of the pending Federal Court action.

The lawyers will make good money of the Dinus Case.

And the County will be rocked by hundreds of thousands in legal fees. No one on the DA or contract County Council can perform in Federal Court, except at there peril when it draws Judge Thelton Henderson.

Ask Sonoma County what there suit cost, or the California Department of Corrections.

What a day it will be, many days in Federal Court.

All reported by the 7 News Team. Justice -- only years will tell.
