How is it that Emma's mom had her for just the last 2 years and now this happens. She had a promising future.
She was such an amazing beautiful young lady when I knew her while her father raised her, he had the best life for her, this is so sad, I feel horrible for Mike.

This is not about Emmas mother or father at this point! Why does anything from their past have to be brought up. This is about a missing girl. It is sick how people twist and turn this . Everyone is so quick to blame. Im sure that her mother and father love her very much and that is all that matters, not that they have had issues in the past. No one is a perfect parent! Lets focus on what really matters....Emma is missing.
Well it is crazy that her father raised her and gave her everything a girl could ask for, except the partying that she shouldnt be doing. I know every kid does it, but parents arent suppose to encourage it for this reason, shit happens when ppl are under the influence and it is never good. I also think it is bullshit that the mother wont let Mike be involved, he was way more a father than she was ever a mother-he raised Emma and has every right to be there too!!!

Every one knows you should wear a life jacket while swimming in a large body of water but people dont use them all the time. She made her own choice to NOT wear a jacket. You sound like one of those, i'm always the victim - woe to me, people. Lets blame everyone else.
And just how do you know she made the choice NOT to wear one ? WAS there enough life jackets on that boat for all?,,,I very much doubt it

Having been a parent on a team Emma played for, we got to know the family well and what a great family. Emma is a bright star in the lives of all she knows. Our hearts go out to the entire Nahas family. God with all of you in this time of need. We pray for you all.

I dont know her father but something must have happened for there to be a restraining order. While I do believe her father should be a part of this search I stick with my first comment. This is about Emma not about who was or wasnt a good parent. Also after a child turns 18 they make their own decisions and Im sure that no one including her mother forced her to do the negative things that people are saying she did. It was a bad decision to be on a boat drinking and with no life jacket but everyone makes them and it seems she may have paid with her life. For the people that were on the boat I do believe that her family needs and deserves to know what happened. They are more worried about the concequences of telling the truth than letting this family know what happened to their beautiful daughter.

I have known Emma and her father for her whole life. Her father raised her, and her mother was never around. Mike (her father), loves her in a way that can't be measured. Emma’s mom hurries to be in front of a camera, while Mike fights a restraining order put in place by Emma’s mom, just so he can be a part of the search. My heart goes out to mike, her true parent, as he now has to battle the camera hungry mom, again, just to look for his daughter. A cryin shame. I know mike well, and he is all heart... Unfortunately it is so filled by the love of his daughter, that her loss will likely destroy him.
I also know Mike and I know his heart is breaking He was A wonderful father and he loves Emma with all his heart.I hope for the best for Mike and Emma.

I don't understand why they are not looking more into the others on the boat! This girl is 20 and the other female that made statements to the paper is also 20! They said no tests were administered at the time of the search, and no one on board the boat has been charged with operating under the influence why NOT?!!! We now know that the one missing is not legal to drink nor is the other female so I don't understand why not even underage consumption charges would be made!! Maby its just me but when u get in a car accident and someone passes they are giving tests!!!!! Just seems like more should have been done that night!
someone close to us was on that boat. she is under age. I cant figure out why she was foolish enough to go on the boat with people she didnt even know!!! could be her on the news as well! what is wrong with the youth of today!!! ever hear of NOT TALKING TO STRANGERS?!!!!???? and most of all are you soo dumb as to think that 30 year old guys take you on a boat just to become friends!!!??? any 30 yr old taking 20 year olds not related to them on a day boat ride ONLY HAVE ONE THING ON THIER MINDS!!!!!?!!! why are these girls of today so stupid to see and be ok with that?

Something that should have been done from the first moment that she was reported missing to proactively treat it as a crime scene and treat the people on the boat as suspects, gather evidence from each one of them. None of that was done, and unless Emma is found, there won't be any evidence.
I am certain that if this were a relative of those investigating, they would be taking their procedures to the hilt.
The investigators need to immediately get on the ball and find Emma, at this point by whatever means necessary, so that any possible evidence she holds can help prosecute those responsible.
By the way, the 911 tape was never played. I am just curious what was said and how it was said, and by whom.

I knew mike when emma was just knee high. He gave up allot to make sure that emma was taken well care of. the mom has been in and out of court with many different guys, but gave mike more then his share of troubles. I feal for mike as he searches for answers, and yet still has to battle her. I pray for that little girl I remmember. I pray to ease the pain of a father who loves his daughter more than life. i hope they still find her.

her mom should be ashamed of herself for what she is putting emma's FATHER thru and how she changed the life of Emma, just to make up for lost time? The mom is a looooosssser! she left when she was 5 and should have stayed gone, emma would still be here! i hate these mothers that walk away from their kids ! then decide later they miss them, the restraining order should be on her!

If she jumped in with a male, and he shouted for help, and was rescued by their friends.. WHY has he not explained what happened, why he shouted for help, why he didnt say 'hey emma is still out here'. he just got back on the boat and forgot about it? he could have at least mentioned something, like she was drowing? or it was dark and he couldnt see her? so much missing information.

some one close to us was on the boat that day sad to say. first my heart goes out to her family foremost. I couldnt imagine thier pain. sencond. what is wrong with the youth of today? growing up I was tought at a young age not to trust or talk to strangers. the person we know was only 19 yrs of age on that boat and only knew one other person on the boat. and why why why would they go out there with people they barely knew ???? the sic pathetic "boys" on the boat were in thier eary to mid 30's. so I ask why would a young woman not realize that 30 yr olds taking a group of younger women out on an all day boat ride ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR ONE THING AND ONE THING ONLY FROM THEM!!!!!!!??? are they ok with that?? Im my opinoin you have to be a real sick perverted man to even want to sleep with a girl that age when you in you 30's any way i only pray for emmas family and I hope the girl we know has learnd a valuable lesson

the reports from lakewood.. mike, marc whatever your name is.. yes we are completely aware that you are very good friends with alex cucu (the owner of the boat) you made that very clear before and you also claimed he is a family man w/ 2 children right?? well if he is such a FAMILY MAN WHY IS OUT BOATING ON A THURSDAY NIGHT WITH UNDERAGE GIRLS IN BIKINIS... YEA SOME FAMILY MAN, he should have been home with his wife & kids... i feel sorry for his wife. and THERE IS WAAAAAY MORE TO THIS STORY... most of the people that are leaving negative comments on here were either on the boat or are friends with the druggie, alcoholics losers that were with poor Emma that night that are NOTORIOUS FOR BEING WASTED & DOING DRUGS JUST CHECJ THEIR FACEBOOKS & MYSPACE PAGES (which they all recently took down all their pics of that night, hmmmm),that constantly change their stories & continue to party like nothing ever happened, ask them why the guy in the water with emma was naked when the coast guard pulled him out??????... yes she was an adult (and which is why she could make her own decisions on where she worked and who she hung out with, so dont blame her family for that they just want their daughter back) but no one deserves to be lost like this. NO ONE... REGARDLESS OF HER FAMILY'S PROBLEMS WITH EACHOTHER, THEY SHOULD ALL BE COMING TOGETHER TO HELP GET THE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER.... i pray Emma is found so her family can have some closure & i hope none of them ever rest until they get the full story because alex cucu has connections and you wonder why no tests were taken?? it happens all the time here in cleveland bc thy have money they get out of almost everything/// think about it... he should be charged with manslaughter.. im sure his lawyer he hired will attempt to get him out of it. PRAYING FOR EMMA & ALL OF HER FAMILY & FRIENDS BC SHE WAS AN AMAZING GIRL!!!!!!!
WELL SAID!! IM DISGUSTED WITH THIS WHOLE SITUATION. THE PEOPLE THAT WERE ON THE BOAT ARE NOT TELLING THE WHOLE STORY (I CANT PROVE IT I JUST BELIEVE IT). IDK THEM SO I DONT NO IF THEY ARE INVOLVED IN DRUGS AND ARE STILL GOIN OUT AND KICKING IT AND IDK THIS CUCU FELLOW BUT I REALLY HOPE THEY STEP BACK AND RE-EVALUATE WHAT HAPPENED THAT NIGHT BECAUSE IT COULD HAVE BEEN ANY OF THEM IN THAT WATER. WOULD THEY WANT THEIR "FRIENDS" TO HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION THE SAME WAY THEY HAVE HANDLED THE SITUATION SINCE THE SECOND THERE PANIC FROM EMMA... PUT YOURSELVES IN HER AND FAMILY AND FRIENDS SHOES HOW SELFISH CAN YOU BE TO WITHOLD INFORMATION JUST TO KEEP UR NAME CLEAR ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS A LIFE OR DEATH SITUATION! I HOPE I AM WRONG ABOUT THESE PEOPLE ON THE BOAT WITH HER, BUT FROM EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED SOMTHING IS MISSING! TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS DONT GIVE UP YOUR SEARCH FOR ANSWERS! EMMA IS A GREAT GIRL AND DESERVES BETTER THAN HALF ASSED INVESTIGATIONS AND CONFUSINGLY TWISTED STORIES!

I did not know Emma personally, but friends in my class had younger sisters in her class. I think of her as a sister from The Elms Community and I am hoping the best for her and her family. We are a close community and I know that many many people miss her...

This investigation was handled terribly. This girl deserves better than this. Get her age right. Get the facts straight. All other accounts say they were at port when they called for help. That they all whent swimming and then returned to port to find her missing. Serving alchohol to someone under 21 is illegal. Having underage drinking on your property makes you guilty. It's the law. This man should be charged with permitting underage drinking on his boat and not doing a head count when he returned. I'm not buying their two conflicting stories. This is a terrible tragedy that needs to be investigated. And yes, Alex Cuccu is a scumbag that bought a boat to attract beautiful women and then did not care enough to ensure their safety.
