If you went and pled without a challenge to the callibration you are just plain dumb. Officers have been known to wear a device, looks like a pen that gives a discreet BAC and a tape recorder.

Known facts in Lake County, check the CHP for use of recording devices.

Nothing happened to scouts or the pizza parlor. They both happened just as testified to. You just continue to ignore the truth.

usually I'd jump in and help a person who is drowning, but in your case I'll make an exception. I will shout some encouragement though, keep splashing until you're so exhausted you finally sink. One witness, five witness, ten witness' concert, no concert, whatever. Your coward is going down, and now there is very little you or your gang of scoudrels can do about it. The world is now watching. I told you weeks ago of this, you blew me off. Now everyone see's I didn't make this up. Why would I? I don't know either of these people. BTW, what happened to the boyscout story??! That one folded up like a sail boat being rammed by a drunk in a speed boat. Got any more? lets see, uh, Pizza Parlor? no, lets see, uh, here we are, cleaning boat all day, damn, none of these seem to be working. Let's start over. Let's start with Russell Perjury coming forward and admiting to his dreadful mistake. Great legal strategy by the way, deny, deny deny. Everybody except Perdo is a liar. Lets end this Hoppy. Drop these ludicrous charges or charge them both. Send Dinius home, before Lake County's already stressed budget gets the dung sued out of it.

Maybe he was at the Scouts(that was the day right?) or the pizza parlor, but looks like he ended his nice day up at the konocti bar, according to 5 eye witnesses, two of which said it was the night of...

Is their testimony or records from the workers/owners of the pizza place? Was it a birthday party with lots of others with them? I'm sure they had paperwork on a birthday party time.... What about other parents of kids who attended the birthday? If it wasn't a party, and it was just perdo with his son/wife/others who might lie for him... Well....... no alabi then on that try..

You seem to be the one who does not "get it" what this is all about is why was the wrong person charged, all the cover up and delays? Add it all up and it smells.

Dinius big mistake was not to hire lawyer from local crowd to play ball and get case dismissed. Dumb.

Would love to see more photos, these scream coverup.

First the impact area on the sailboat is way up off the waterline, should be not too hard to estimate the speed of the Baja "Outlaw" at time of impact.

Next is the apparent non-damage to the Baja, although the photos are cropped so we really cannot see the bow of the boat.

Then there is this one of the power panel on the O-Day, note the shattered voltmeter and scratches on the panel...wonder if that was from something that hit the bulkhead?

Lest anyone accuse me of being biased, these were the only photos I could find in a web search, hope the jury gets some better uncropped photos and the ones that should have been taken at the scene.

For anyone that cares there are a few good videos of Baja "outlaws" on youtube and all I can see is sky when they are at speed, hard to be cautious and travel at a safe speed when you can't see ahead of you.

Been a lot of years since I was in a ski boat but as I recall it takes a second forward lookout to see where your going aside the one monitoring the skier.

I am so GOD D~A~M~N DISGUSTED with Law Enforcement & Our DA in Lake County!! Its sure a shame that this Gorgeous Place we live in has become a Hot Bed for Corruption. RECALL MITCHELL & HOPKINS!! Mitchell should step down. There is some major House Keeping that needs to be done!! Maybe the message is getting through....That you cannot use your Law Enforcement Powers for your personal gain, get out of jail free cards, to cover up crimes and protect your friends and in general, being HYPOCRITES! for doing the same stuff off duty as the poor Citizen Joe was doing while you were on Duty.. but the difference is you arrested him!!

And for our Illustrious DA... Between all your misguided attempts of Prosecuting certain people, but not others, ruining some peoples lives but allowing attempted murder's to walk free... and for all the money that has been wasted ie: Hughes Case, etc.... isn't there another town with a bigger budget that you could move onto???

Get A Clue.. Don't bother running for re-election... Your like a Christmas Ham... You 2 have inserted your own Fork..Conclusion..Your Done!

Tell me its not so!! <grin> Of course Mitchell gets your vote... Your Pops would kick your butt if you didn't! I know that Mitchell is on your Christmas Card List, Just like family.. and Hopkins.. Well.. birds of a Feather... No, I take that back.. you are better versed than Hopkins..(of course when my cat is in heat she is better versed than all of you!) But maybe someday you will see the error of your ways... There still is time to jump from that Sinking Boat....

This has as the smell of a cover-up. Like medical people, like lawyers, the system protects the guilty under the misguided guise that the system will protect them in times when they need that protection. It is very clear that Clear Lake authorities protected Perdock! No Breathalyzer???? Come on! In any accident, there should be a thourough investigation of all participants. Had Perdock been behind the wheel of a CLear Lake County vehicle, his blood alcohol would have been determined as would a toxiological report on any substance found in his sytem. Give me a break people....can't you smell cover-up, from the DA's office on down to the patrol sector of Clear Lake!!!! COVER_UP. God, this system stinks in Clear Lake

1. Yes
2. Yes

I don't buy the R-B. I choose to read it online.

Haven't seen a picture or video of Perdock until the report on ABC 7 last night.

Still probably couldn't pick him out of a line-up unless I saw him up close and personal.
