To her family: Many prayers lifted on your behalf.

What a wonderful lady she must have been. Her work was not in vain. Her sacrifice will help save many children. Be so very proud of her.

I echo the concerns for the young woman's family. But having witnessed this, I think the fellow runners, race volunteers and emergency medical staff deserve recognition for their amazingly quick and professional response. You did all that you could do. Thanks.

My heart is deeply saddened in hearing this news. After what is a totally exhilarating moment for a runner, crossing that finish line and the anticipated reunion with those there to support us to celebrate such an accomplishment...to have this happen at such a high point is just tragic. My prayers go to her family and especially her mom who awaited her arrival into Auto Zone stadium on Saturday. May you feel God's closeness & presence during this very difficult time.

Please know my prayers are with all of you. I did not hear of the tragedy until I was at the airport preparing to go home this morning and saw it in the headlines. I do know it takes a very special person to be a runner and to add the special event of running for St. Jude Hospital, I know your daughter must have been a wonderful person. As a mother that waited for my own daughter to finish the 1/2 this year I cannot even imagine your pain. I only hope that if you can let the love of those around you give you comfort--even from those of us who don't know you--it will help in time. I know that God must have needed your special daughter and that she is in good hands as she helps Him up there. God Bless you and your family and those brave souls who attempted to save her!!

My deepest sympathy to the family of this awesome lady. My heart goes out to you during this difficult time. I think how wonderful she crossed the finish line for the kids of St. Jude and pray she is running the ultimate race in heaven with all those precious children she was out there supporting. I know how proud you must be of her.
Sincerely,

Her name was Molly. She was a beautiful woman who will be sorely missed by her parents, siblings, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

Molly is my sister and was a wonderful, beautiful woman who had a heart of gold. She loved her family and friends more than anybody I know. She is already missed by so many, but I know she is watching over us all. To leave you with her favorite quote "If you don't jump, you'll never know if you can fly!" She lived by this and hope she inspires many more.

My deepest sypmathy to Molly's family! Just the fact that she participated in the St. Jude's marathon is a huge statement about her heart and character. I am thankful for her and all of those who do so many selfless things to help the many children in need!!! May God Bless You all is my prayer.

I, being Molly's sister, also want to thank all of the other runners, volunteers, and medical staff. I know everybody did all they could to help my sister. God just was ready for this beautiful person to be with him.

Hi Relative and Katie,
This breaks my heart. I ran the 1/2 also and finished in 3:08. I believe Molly was next to me near mile 9 and 10 and we both used a portolet. She seemed excited and like she felt well. Has she run this distance before? I'm not a fast runner and always thought I'd be safe. My heart goes out to all of Molly's friends and family.

This was not her first 1/2 marathon. She has run multiple in the past but walked this one. She felt good until the very end. Thank you for your thoughts. My family is comforted knowing so many people are praying for us.
