It is rough.
After what was probably a reasonably terrible death, his family and others who cared about him must now suffer the loss.
My sincerest condolences to those folks.

i feel bad this guy got mauled and killed but from what i read in the article it is probably his own fault. he recieved training and was told what to do when encountering a bear which he ignored to get pictures.
my condolences to the family for the loss of a loved one but yet i cannot fully blame the bear because it was in it's own territory doing what bears will do and at this time of year they are looking for as much food as possible to survive a winter hibernation....

I'm sorry for the guy.
I can't think of any worse death.

But b/c this guy did the wrong thing
the bear will more than likely be
killed.

And he was just doing what bears do.

My wife and I were reading about that yesterday and my thoughts were how could anyone be that stupid. I wouldn't even go into grizzly bear country without a rifle and a huge hand gun (you really need a rifle, tho). It's just incredibly dumb.

Rangers hunted down the bear and killed it. They even cut it open to make sure.
I find that just as sad .... so if this wasn't the bear, would they track down another and kill it?
Man makes the mistake and the animal suffers.
