We'll be safe

I have much respect for paralympists because these people are example of courage and will power, but I completely disagree that games must be boycotted by anyone and I have two reasons for that.
The first one is that Russian government gave the IOC all guarantees that gay people during the Olympics will be safe. And the second is that any display of disagreement during the Olympics is violation of its basic principles to be above politics and theatre for nonsensical discussions. I don't know why people believe their protest will change mind of Russians or even help the LGBT community, because it won't since it makes no contribution for the common cause of LGBT community. I'm sure that victories of gay athletes will help our community more than words of people who call to senseless provocations during the games.
I will visit the games to see how my LGBT brothers and sisters will win and not to see how some crazy people spoil everything there. And I wish the rest will do the same.
