Can you believe it? Fitchburg's Mayor and 11 City Council members are not deemed "fascinating" by the Sentinel and that overpaid, underworked Antonucci leads the list?

The fact that Wong and City Councilors Beauvais, Kaddy, Clark and Reynolds were not included should lead to a lawsuit.

How did Lew make this list, he's continuing patronage and isn't calling for an audit. Just another good old boy politician...

Lew has done exactly the opposite of what he promised while campaigning, in four years he'll run against McGovern. He's a career politician.

I have no criticism for the inclusion of anyone on the list, or the list itself-only the fact he Sentinel chose to title it "The most 'fascinating' people," as if we were reading People magazine or watching TMZ on television. I've met some of those folks, and didn't leave my encounter shaking my head thinking, "My God, that person is so FASCINATING!!!"

This paper ought to quit trying to be the Boston Herald and start serving it's readership better.

Can't agree more and some of the selections are far from fascinating:
FSU Pres who raised tuition while building the new Fitchburg State U mall of America and then finally spending on an acedemic building - go figure.
Kendra Dumont exposes Town administrator taping private conversations with her - a blantant violation of the open meeting law, but hey who cares..........

People who get paid to perform a job and then do it as they are trained to and compensated for are not heros. The true heros are the silent ones you don't here about like the military guy who risks his a## every day for pennies on the dollar that a civil service employee gets. That is why the line is long and favors are called in for these jobs. I spent many nights in the US coast guard going out in the middle of the night to save some dumb a$$ from their stupidity. 20 foot seas in a 44 foot boat is dangerous. Cheapskate government not even giving you the latest technology to help save your own rear. People like this are heros because they don't ask for nor receive awards such as this.

Agreed, but I'll go one step further. Why is Lew so facinating? He got elected to an office that he's hasn't even taken over yet and his election was based on promises that for one he won't have the authority to implement or they are already in place from other Sheriff's (not Glodis) or would cost to much. And on top of that he is not from Fitchburg or Leominster area. There are several people who deserve to be listed. Erika Lawler should have been number one.

What's fascinating about a politician who ran for Sheriff? Kind of a stretch isn't it.

I can't see why Lisa and Bobby never made the list. Thy cost the city a boatload of money on all the costly witch hunt investigations. there would have been more to spend on dirt for the river park an also some section 8 funding.
