Scammed by CoSport

You decide to take a one-in-a-lifetime trip to see the Olympics. You go through the official USOC ticket vendor CoSport. When booking the tickets you're concerned that there is no seating plan, only a vague description of the ticket categories. Still, you're only going to do this once so you opt for Category A tickets, assuming they will be among the best seats available. When finalizing your order, you get disappointed by the 20% mark-up AND the 20%+ exchange rate mark-up, meaning that the price of your tickets are 43% higher than advertised. So you pay GBP1,300 (GBP450 each plus the 43% mark-up) for 2 A-category Athletics tickets plus another GBP850 (GBP295 each plus the 43% mark-up) for 2 A-category Boxing tickets. Months later you find out that your seats are not together, not even close. So then you start to do some digging on CoSport. You see the history of Mr. Sead Dizdarevic, owner of CoSport and Jet Set Sports, and his shady dealings with the USOC. You read how he was part of the Salt Lake City USOC bribe scandal. That he admitted paying bribes to Olympic officials but received immunity from the prosecution so he would testify against 2 Olympic bid execs. And you realize you've been screwed. Not just by Mr. Dizdarevic, it's clear he's been scamming people for decades and has free license for the next Olympics too. I reserve the real disappointment for the USOC and the organizers in the UK. Seb Coe famously predicted these would be the "People's Olympics" when in reality, it's "Big Business's Olympics". CoSport is unable to sort out the seating allocations, the same way they can't organize the ticket pick-up in London, because they have to channel so much of their income to their minders, the same people who selected them in the first place. It's going to be a shambles and I hope there is a demand for transparency on who got paid what. It will then be clear why CoSport was allowed to execute so poorly, why they could take in millions without providing any guarantee on seat assignments, etc. Of course if we knew all of this in advance, we wouldn't book the tickets in the first place. And that's why the USOC and Seb Coe and his friends in high places needed to keep the whole scam a secret. I feel sorry for the poor helpers, people in the stadium who will be left the task of trying to help families sit together. I'm sure it will be an ugly, desperate scene. But by then the USOC, Seb Coe, Sead Dizdarevic et al will be so drunk on their own self-importance they won't even notice.

1st our tickets were to be shipped the last week of June, first week of July
Then delayed.
Then delayed again.
We were leaving on Friday, July 13 so we opted for the last minute shift to will call.
Cosport never responds to any emails
When called, they blame the IOC for all the delays.
We were totally dismayed to arrive on July 23rd to pick up the tickets and the lines were closed and people had been waiting all day for their tickets.
Excuse me???!!!!

We finally have our tickets, but like others, they are not together. Strangers are going to have a great time looking after our kids.
Thanks for the fun Cosport.
