This is a strange move.. Souray could help the team in the short term and display his talents ,thus making a trade more possible.. What has he done that they dont even want him near the building ??

The team is tired of being mocked (a la Chris Pronger) and is drawing a line in the sand. Souray asked for a trade, was put on waivers twice and still nobody wants him and his bad attitude. He is poison in the dressing room, so assigning him to a team as far away as possible was the only sensible thing to do.
He can go ride the Hersey highway.

He is making a lot of money to be playing in the ahl......He must be a lot better than what they have on defense. Edmonton has been making some strange descisions lately... Quinn hiring ,then so called promotion to name one..I think tambenelli is over his head.. The only thing he hasnt screwed up is the draft, but then it was a no brainer...

The only thing he hasnt screwed up is the draft, but then it was a no brainer... Hershey is apparently paying a small portion of his salary as well. I think a lot of fans in Edmonton agree with Tambilini - don't let the malcontent anywhere near the youngsters. He publiclly demanded a trade and new scenery, and that's what he's getting. Quinn wasn't the right guy for this team at this stage. They need a teacher, not a gruff old man who sits the kids when they cough up the puck. As for the draft, sure Hall was a no-brainer. But Eberle was selected 22nd overall and Paajarvi was taken 10th overall in another draft year, so he has made some decent picks. Could be worse, like, Calgary.

Oilers are off to a good start, but dont plan a parade yet tupper... in fact dont even sign up for playoff tickets.. they have a lot of holes in their lineup and that will show soon enough..

Plan a parade? Nobody is talking about the Oilers winning the Cup. Besides, we have already gone down the parade route five times before, so we know exactly where it will happen. I will say this though: the Oilers will finish with more points this year than your Leafs.

OK, Dev Starr. Care to comment on why the Oilers are ahead of the fabled Leafs at this point of the season? Even your beaking about Calgary being a potential Cup contender is not holding water. hahahahahahahaha

THE LEAFS SUCK....And Edmonton is right up there... Both teams once coached by Quinn....Tamballini should be fired for holing on to Mactavish..Mactavish is the worst coach ever..couldnt coach pee wee. As for Sourey...great defensemen..has heart, loves to fight, wont back down, one of the hardest shots in the league and this is how Edmonton treats him... Seems to me maybe Mactavish didnt like his qualities because there exactly what he and tamballini dont have... If Edmonton does get rid of their GM and shake things up. There 10 years away from being a contender. Its a good thing there are GPS now....your going to need it to dial in that street you think everyone remembers

Yes I liked Sourey. Tough bastard.. Edmonton screwed that up. Cant blame him for wanting to leave this GOD for Saken town. The one thing thats good about being a trucker out west is that you can leave Edmonton when ever you want. This teams management is awful!

Sourey looks real good playing for the stars.....Real good Another edmonton blunder...this team blows. They have a 5 year stretch of success and that it folks..nothing else. You take gretzky away they were nothing.... A team that has been brutal for a long time.
