Oh yeah, forgot about the endorsements/sponsorships, here's links to lists of 2 of the biggest sports sponsorship companies in the world, and who they endorse/sponsor, and subsequently PAY or provide resources to.

Sure are a lot of people/countries that are not the U.S.
The Americans are Corporate . Even the most country bumpkin athlete from Nebraska has more wealth than 90% of anybody from the rest of the world . So those USA chants that used to garner support vs the Big Red Soviet Machine are now just a "look at me " I'm a big ugly American moment . Lolo Jones , Mary Decker Tab , Carl Lewis , Flo Joe are shining examples .

Ok, but what does that have to do with the Canadian women's soccer team being robbed, and what does that have to do with a ref "handing the game to the Americans", as the topic states? Are you saying that because America is corporate, that they do not deserve to win a gold medal in the Olympics? Why do you care so much what a "country bumpkin athlete from Nebraska" makes anyway, is it jealousy because you don't have that opportunity where you live?

Not really, thought this discussion was supposed to be about the Norwegian ref handing the game to the Americans, or do I just misunderstand the point of forums? I mean, if you want to talk about evil corporate America, why not just make a topic and do so there?

Oh I get it, you're just another one of those angry, butt hurt Canadians that want to bash on America every chance you get, and have nothing pertinent, nor intelligent to say about the actual topic. Explains why you've been unable to acknowledge anything I've said previously as you have no intent on actually discussing anything other than your negative "observations" about the U.S. Keep on hating, while my wealth is more than 90% of your country.

Actually , Canada's tough bank lending regulations before the world economic meltdown has enabled Canada to be the strongest economy in the world. We barely felt the recession ! We provide more oil to you than all the other countries combined . Anyway , yes , i probably could've started a new topic , but the earth orbits the sun right? Off topic but TRUE ! U see , Truth transcends topics , hey ?

Actually, I came here to read, and talk about the Olympics, so I really could care less about your "truth". But hey, keep having fun up there polluting your land with Tar/Oil sand extraction, while having one of the most overpriced housing markets in the world, all while losing what, 30,000 jobs recently. Used to think you guys were pretty cool up there, but thanks for letting me know your true colors.

As for the whole point of this topic, how cool was it to see the Japanese so happy to receive a silver medal, while those poor Canadian women had to settle for a bronze after barely beating the French, and losing in the last minute to the U.S.! I'd blame the refs too if I failed to win a game I had in the bag THREE times!

They were PROUD to win bronze ! And yes they were out played by the French but they won without referee controversy . The French team said it too ! They could live with the loss . Untill u start walking everywhere don't be a hypocrite about fossil fuels ! Anyway , those tar sands have more oil then Saudi Arabia and Iran combined and they've discovered even more in Saskatchewan ! How's the Gulf of Mexico ? At least the tar sands aren't polluting an ocean . Yes , Vancouver is overpriced but the rest of the country is fine . My friend is working for the oil company and he's
Making $ 10,000 clear a month driving a vac truck in Alberta were the housing is cheap . I don't hate Americans , I love Americans ! I have American family ! As family we Canadians get a pass just like only your only u can criticize ur brother or sister and if someone else says shit ,It's on ! You know that we ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BACK ! So take a chill pill ! Love Ya !
