They have been *insulting* olympic visitors, not helping them.

People already have their own views. They don't need and didn't ask for pederasts...I mean, pastors...okay, pederasts trying to molest them with religion.

Real help and concern for others is given without expectation of anything in return. Taking advantage of someone else's need for help is seeing someone stranded in a desert and demanding sex in exchange for a ride to the next town. Taking advantage of people is the lowest thing a religitard can do.

IMHO a little research prior to posting prevents one making a fool of oneself.

"Street Pastors is an inter-denominational Church response to urban problems, engaging with people on the streets to care, listen and dialogue.

It was pioneered in London in January 2003 by Rev Les Isaac, Director of the Ascension Trust, and has seen some remarkable results, including drops in crime in areas where teams have been working. There are now some 9000 trained volunteers in around 250 teams around the United Kingdom."

In this case he is way off the mark. The Street Pastor schemes work. People like and trust them. This would not be the case if they went around preaching at people all the time.

You clearly have no idea what the UK Street Pastor scheme is about.

Agreed Angelina. How are you doing? Were you able to see any of the Olympic activities personally? Hope all is well with you and your dear family.

Hello Stedfast, good to see you. Not too bad over here apart from a few of lifes ups and downs that we've been dealing with. God willing these will be dealt with OK. Hope you and your family are all OK.

The olympics have been on our TV almost constantly for the past 2 weeks but we never actually got to the venue ourselves even though we live not too far from it. My daughter had tickets for 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing the para olympics next month.

The street pastor issue is clearly misunderstood by the OP. I have a couple of friends who are volunteers on this scheme and the work they do with the others has been a real boon in the centre of the town here.

Its good to see you too. Totally understand the ups and downs....never a dull moment it seems. We were able to watch most of the Olympics too - very fun. So glad to hear your daughter was able to go....
I have heard that the street pastors have been very effective for the community - please tell your friends that people on the other side of the pond are cheering for them.:) Blessings....
