I was referring to the driving, more to her arrest actually. As for her pregnancy she would realise that its a big responsibility to have a baby at so young an age and that she would no longer be able to do those things which 16 year olds do- have fun, go to movies, hangout etc. At least till the baby becomes more manageable.

I gotta ask all the suberb parents out there. Where are your 14 yo little girls at night. Do you know. I bet this kids parents thought she was somewhere else than driving a car. Im also willing to bet that they also thought she was somewhere else while she was busy getting knocked up

This is what happens when 14 year olds get drunk! They start driving cars and getting laid.

May be they could be allowed to drink a little only when elders are around, so that they can be supervised subtly. This girl by her stubborn behaviour is causing trouble to everyone around- her family, the baby and most importantly to herself. She needs immediate counselling.

The little twit hasnt learned a lesson. She should be put in some reformatory or sober house for young women and work on getting her detoxed, and supervised around the clock.
Give her the rundown that if this continues, she may be facing some time in some juvenile detention, for the negligent and willful endangerment of the unborn child's life, besides her own.
Perhaps she doesnt want the baby, and thus is the reason for the rash and thoughtless behavior on her part. She needs counseling,so she doesnt revert to further drastic and stupid decisions.
But just the thought of her doing it again, convinces me that she needs a Reality Slap!!

No matter how much sound advice parents, teachers, other adults provide to this teen, she will not learn until she goes through this experience. Unfortunately, she lacks the maturity to even consider the wellbeing of the child that she is carrying. Maybe she does know what she is doing, but her actions are that of one trying to disassociate herself from the reality of her current state of being. Sad.

She may be unhappy and at the moment feeling like it is her against the world,or that no one may understand her situation or her feelings, but it is a predictament she placed herself in without a second thought.
Hopefully she starts to wise up or else NEXT TIME it wont be a close call but an incident with fatal consequences.

Hi Hina,,

Where did you select your tag from?

I wrote a novel called Hina: Portrait of a Maori Heart.

Find it strange an American would use that tag. It's a Maori name.

Kia Ora Hinamanu,

I am of Polynesian ancestry and that is how and why I selected Hina as a profile name. So the tag is not really utilized out of the polynesian ethnic context, so to speak.

Hina is also the form of the name(in Tonga,Uvea,Futuna,Rapa Nui,Rarotonga,Tahiti,Hawaii etc) of Sina in Old or Ancient Polynesia. Hina/Sina embraces all of Polynesia and beyond.

Tweeter is also correct in stating that Hina is also Japanese. "Hina" meaning doll refers to the annual Emperor and Empress doll festival, Hina Matsuri which originated during the Edo Period by the Tokugawa shoguns. Girls Day in Japan is celebrated and coincides with this annual festival.Hina also means "young girl or young bird".

Thank you.
