It's good to see public transport is becoming more affordable and popular - especially as it is becoming a more viable and stress-free alternative to driving on our increasingly dangerous roads. The appalling record of Kiwi drivers means taking your own life in your hands every time you need to drive anywhere these days. The rail companies should follow this lead, between cities that still have operational lines open. They should take another look at the viability...after all, there are also some air carriers offering cut price travel - even on domestic routes.
